Works extremely well to hold door open a few inches for cats but keep it mostly closed for privacy and to keep the robot vacuum out. I also like that it keeps the door from closing so we don't have to worry about the cats being trapped in a room while we are out. Very sturdy so you need a little umph to pop it over the knob to install. Easy to set in to place and to remove when you want to open the door fully.

This tool is simple and very effective, and whoever invented it is BRILLIANT. Genius! It's easy to put the 2 pieces together and install. It has multiple settings for different purposes. We put one on a door to the library where our cats are fed. The favorite room for the dog to steal the cats' dinner. I tried 2 different non-traditional door stops. One tore up the bottom of the wooden door, the other didn't work at all. The cats can come and go, but the dog cannot get anything but her nose in the room. I used the 2nd one to keep a very warm room door partially open to allow heat to circulate out into a much cooler area of the house. It is set so that neither the dog nor the cats can get in. But heat warms the next room. The only issue was me figuring out that the stiff plastic could be easily bent without cracking to fit the space needed. I see any instructions, but it's pretty user friendly. It comes with a door hanger warning "Cats inside. Please keep the dog out." Since 2 door latches came in the package, it would be nice if there were 2 hangers. More important would be to have include extra metal screws that fit into the doorframe strike plate. They might be lost and replacing them would take some real effort. Having more than one screw for each latch would provide more flexibility. Two screws in one latch would allow multiple uses for the latch without moving the screws. I highly recommend these latches. Give me peace of mind when I'm not at home to referee cat and dog play time and protect the cats' food from our 65 lb puppy!

I use these to keep my door jar so my cats can go to the basement to do their business and eat their food. They work wonderfully they are simply designed but very creatively designed. They keep the door a good opening for them to get through, but not so much that too much air gets into my upstairs. Also, a child could not get through it so it’s also very handy to have with small children as long as you’ve got a good stable door hardware then it works great I’m sure it would be also useful for a dog, but if it was very large, it wouldn’t work it’s durable. It’s clean and can be washed and I’ve actually bought another set of them. It comes two to a package and well worth the price.

These are the best. Easy to use no drilling. Fits almost any type of door handle. I will say when you first start to use they are stiff but after about a week they loosen up and flex easier. They are super durable I have my in a high traffic area in our home. They work great with toddlers too.

If you have a dog that is big, dumb and determined that really wants something on the other side of the door (say a 100+lb black lab that was left alone for a couple hours and wants in to the trash it can see in the room), there is a small chance that it'll brute force its way in and knock both the peg and its seat thread out and get in the room. BUT, this has only happened once and under a special circumstance. Otherwise, this has been a great product that works well and is easy to install. Just be smarter than your dumb dog 😉

Love this simple little latch. Door can remain cracked open but pesky kitties cannot get thru or push it further. Easy to install and easy to pop open if you need to. Great price for something that solves a big kitty problem. Stops dogs too.

This door closure latch is fantastic! It blends in well to my doors, so it isn't an eyesore. It's very self explanatory, but the instructions make it even more clear on how to use it! I love that the gap is adjustable, so you can make it smaller or bigger depending on the size of your pets. Overall, it's easy to use and I would recommend this to any family with both cats and dogs (or toddlers).

So easy to use and easy to adjust to what I need. Helps give my cat a safe space/easy escape into another room when he needs a break from the new puppy. It may seem like it’s too stiff when you take it out of the packaging, but it will bend perfectly.

I had a bit of doubts ordering these but wanted to try something to keep the dogs out but cats able to pass through easily. This has been a perfect solution especially as I wasn’t too keen to cut into my doors.

Useful for slowing the cat emergency escape routes from ultra-keen bull terrier. Easy to use. No drilling required. No holes in your doors. We call them "our door fish". Rigid but bendy-enough to keep the door ajar where you want it (mostly narrow cat widths) no sagging diaper straps like I've seen from other manufacturers! Highly recommend these if you are trying to haveva normal like with a cat and dog coexisting somehow! Update! I think I have every door in the house covered now. These things are excellent!
