Great look, excellent construction, comfortable

This backpack works great as a laptop bag. Multiple pockets for carrying the various cables etc for my IT work. Plus it’s also a very handy backpack for hiking with my wife. Lots of room for what we carry. Had a lot of nice compliments as how sturdy it looks.

I love this product a lot 💝. It has everything my son needs to fit all of his camping gear and the fact that it’s water resistant puts my mind at ease knowing his important necessities will not get ruined.

I've primarily used this bag for rucking, consistently carrying about 40lbs in my ruck. From a quality standpoint, it has held up relatively well over 135+ miles. However, I'm now noticing some stitching coming undone at the shoulder straps, so it may need to be replaced in the near future. Areas for Improvement: Shoulder Strap Padding – The padding on the shoulder straps is minimal, which becomes noticeable after about five miles. On longer rucks (up to 20 miles), the straps have caused significant discomfort in my traps and neck. Additional padding would greatly improve comfort. Waist Band Design – The waist band lacks padding and does not sit well at the hips to properly distribute the pack's weight. This could be due to my height (6'5"), but a more ergonomic design would benefit all users. Recommended Fix: To mitigate these issues, I highly recommend purchasing additional shoulder strap pads (about $10 for a pair). These can be attached via Velcro and will save your shoulders while also helping the waist band better distribute weight to the hips. Overall Thoughts: Despite some shortcomings, this bag is made with good materials and features a variety of compartments and MOLLE webbing for additional gear attachments. However, I believe the stitching - particularly at the top of the shoulder straps - could be reinforced, and the padding on both the shoulder straps and waist band should be improved. That said, I would still buy this bag again. It’s well-made, durable, and American-made, which adds to its appeal. With a few design tweaks, it could be even better.

I love everything about this backpack! I can put so many things in it as a nurse for my job I work corrections so I can also put my patches on there! Plus when you’re carrying it the weight distribution is on point!

After purchasing the AMERICANPHOENIX tactical backpack, I was genuinely impressed by the standout quality of its zippers. They perfectly encapsulate the military-grade durability promised, effortlessly handling extensive use without showing any signs of wear. The way these zippers secure the main compartment and external straps, even under heavy loads, has been nothing short of reliable. I recommend their product for anyone on the fence. Here is how I have been using it. As a graduate student I use this backpack everyday. The straps on the back can sustain the weight of my heavy laptop, plus the straps to tighten the backpack pull everything closer to my back so the weight feels lighter (see photos). You can also adjust the length of the shoulder strap not only from the bottom like every backpack, but also from the top. This also brings the weight closer to the shoulders (and away from the lower back) once I am wearing it (easier to make the straps shorter after putting on the backpack than to put on a backpack with short straps). The back has plenty depth, I was able to pack a 7 day trip in it, and after tightening it down, it fit under the seat in the airplane very easily. If I hadn't strapped it down, it would have not fit. The front compartment are also convenient to hold things like hand sanitizer, ear plugs, etc. Lastly, I also use it get groceries which are walking distance from my place. I am never worried about the stitching tearing due to the weight. And tightening to bring the items closer to my back makes the walk back very easy. I am going to take the backpack with me on my next hiking trip, there are 2 side bags for big water bottles, and a bottom strap to secure a towel or flipflops. One of my best investments.
