DMT DPK 1/3/6 Micron Dia-Paste Diamond Compound Kit - Multi-Colour

I bought these to use on a 4 sided leather strop to hone super steels like Elmax and Magnacut. 3 sides with reducing grit and the last as a pure leather, final hone. They work very well and you do not need much - there are YouTube videos demonstrating this but a few lines on a strop so all the leather just "wets" is all that is needed. It has given a final razor edge on multiple knives. Caveat .... you need to either have or regrind a proper bevel with stones before you use this. If you have softer steel/ carbon steel then save your money and use the cheaper and ubiquitous oxides. But for modern, high hardness, steels this is excellent after the diamond plates

These pastes are very effective at honing super-sharp edges and a little lasts a long, long time. They need only a very small amount on a leather or MDF strop to work and work quickly, which makes them not only economical but far less messy than thick and waxy honing pastes that require scraping off and renewing regularly.
