This is great - I live beside some fields and we get some enormous spiders that I never got when i lived in the city. I had bought a spider hoover by the same brand and it just wasn't big enough or powerful enough to hoover up the big ones! They would just sit there, steady and sturdy on the wall, ground or ceiling and the hoover would have no effect on them at all! Then they would just saunter off! So I had to give up with that but this BIG BUG Katcha definitely catches the big ones :) I feel very reassured having this item in my house as it has taken alot of the fear out of trying to trap those massive speedy spiders that get into my house and that I usually find just as I am going to bed. The long pole maintains a safe distance between you and the spidey and being able to see it all the time through the clear plastic is also fear-reducing as you take it out into the garden and let it go... rather having to race around to find a glass and a sturdy piece of cardboard and have to get very uncomfortably close to it before it sneaks off and hides under some furniture. I also caught the freakiest biggest centipede with it too so it really does work!

Ideal for dealing with the gifts the cat's bring in. Large capacity. Door is not always smooth to operate. takes up a bit of space.

It’s a great item works great

This is such a fantastic product. I bought because this time of year we get lots of gigantic (10cm+) spiders in our house. So far I haven’t seen any yet but I’ve caught and evicted 2 small spiders and a medium sized spider. It’s so easy to get them with this at any angle whether on the wall or floor, even on carpet. The long handle is brilliant not only for reaching but also to keep them at arms length away from you when carrying them out the house. I genuinely don’t feel any fear when I see spiders now as I just run and get this spider catcher. I’ve bought the other style spider catchers before but they’re too scary to use as the spider isn’t enclosed securely away from you and I’m also worried about hurting them. They’re too technical to grasp whilst a spider is running quickly. This spider catcher is so big you can slam it over a spider without worrying about hurting them. You do need to be careful when closing the lid though so as not to trap the spiders legs. If you are an arachnophobic...buy this product! *Edited to add that unfortunately I think these spider catchers are air tight. I have found a couple of spiders dead in these when they haven’t been released outside straight away (only after a couple of hours) which is very sad. Also, they are not toddler proof. I have had to replace twice from being cracked by an inquisitive toddler. I still highly recommend and will keep paying my money to always have one of these in the house

Overall good product, could be more sturdy as I found it to be a little flimsy around the handle. Does the job for larger bugs

Very handy for those large spiders. Easy to catch and put outside.

Easy to catch spiders. I was initially worried that their legs might get caught but easy to do this and not injured them. Great for people who don't like spiders and want to remain a safe distance away.

They claim that the mechanism shuts with "a simple twist of the handle", but in reality it doesn't shut unless you close it with your hand, defeating the purpose of the item. It's also made of cheap plastic, and you have to put it together yourself. It would be awful for £5, let alone £16.

Ich bin normalerweise niemand, der Rezensionen schreibt. Ich helfe zwar gerne meinen Mitmenschen, habe aber ständig Zeitmangel. Doch genau deswegen muss ich über dieses Produkt schreiben. Es spart Zeit und Ärger mit Insektenentfernung. Es ist leicht, über Fliegen, Spinnen usw. zu platzieren. Falls das Insekt an der Wand sitzt, drehe ich einfach den Fangkörper, und die Klappe schließt sich durch die Schwerkraft. Wenn das Insekt auf dem Boden oder an der Decke ist, muss ich die Klappe selbst schließen. Der Fangkörper ist jedoch so groß, dass dies einfach und schnell funktioniert. Danach gehe ich einfach auf die Terrasse oder öffne ein Fenster, drehe den Fangkörper erneut um, und die Klappe öffnet sich, sodass das Insekt herausfällt oder wegfliegt. Ende der Arbeit. SCHNELL erledigt, keine verlorene Zeit. Deshalb bestelle ich noch ein solches Teil für einen weiteren Bereich des Hauses. Basta.

Does the job but seems flimsy

Den fungerar som den ska men har upplevt att den fastnar lite när man ska stänga locket och trodde man skulle kunna stänga med hjälp av handtaget men man får hjälpa till med handen, kan vara ett misstag av mig att inte läst tillräckligt när jag köpte den. Men därav ger jag bara en 4a. Rekommenderar för dem som inte vågar ta spindlar.

Exactly what you expect, but robust!

Cet objet est très pratique pour attraper notamment les grosses araignées de maison que l’on trouve surtout en automne. Le fait que le manche soit assez long et le réceptacle suffisamment grand est parfait. Néanmoins il faut ensuite pousser avec la main le couvercle pour le refermer afin de ne pas tuer les bébêtes. Pour les libérer il suffit par contre de retourner le réceptacle pour que la porte tombe toute seule. Pas besoin de la main.
