This is vital especially if you have a small bodied camera. You have a fairly heavy longer lens and it needs support as the strain on the lens mount of the camera can be considerable, This inexpensive accessory relieves that pressure and can freely slide along the runners to the near front of the lens as you have to leave enough room for the follow focus . It is extremely well made and light.

I use this to support a macro lens on a mobile rig with flash and reflectors. It supports the lens perfectly and has the advantage that it runs on and clamps both tubes so if you have anything produce in a lot of torque, this makes it all that bit stronger.

Beautifully manufactured support. I use it on my rod setup to support some of my heavier glass and it works well. Easy to deploy and very quick to adjust when switching over lenses. Theres a rubber grip on the adjustable support that reduces stress on the lens mounts and removes any slight lens movement when using with a follow focus system.

Good locking levers, fast to use. There is a little bit too much metal in the construction (could be a little bit of lighter without affecting quality) but otherwise very good purchase.

It's pretty solid. My lens was further from the rods than the maximum reach for this, and I had to send it back.
