Review: It's OK, but slightly lacks the appeal of their first two albums - This was the third album release by Firehouse, aptly titled Firehouse 3. They are back playing their Stateside style commercial rock, but unlike their first album and especially, their second release, Hold Your Fire, this one seems to lack any particular stand out tracks. They are all solid enjoyable songs, but not quite reaching the heights of it's predecessors. Hold Your Fire was getting towards the harder side of rock, but here, they have slipped back into a more radio friendly approach. Even their now famous ballads, although good, are not up to the high standards already reached. I have awarded the album four stars, the same as the previous two, as it doesn't deserve a three star vote. However, Firehouse 1 and Firehouse 2 (Hold Your Fire) are better.
