Thomas Dudley 73.5Mm Round Vantage Dual Flush Round Push Button 327732, Chrome

The Thomas Dudley dual flush button was replacing a faulty unit some 15 years old. It was easy to fit and it seems to work even better than the original with both short and long flushes working as they should. A little pricey but at least it does the job well.

This was a replacement for a seven year old one. Instructions were clear and was an easy job to do !

This was bought as a replacement for a failed unit. Fairly thin slivers of plastic hold the two major components of this flush button together and it's inevitable that they will fracture and fail due to fatigue over time. In our case, it took a few years but I see others have had much quicker failures. The first unit arrived quickly but there was a problem - the silver plastic coating over the central button was bubbled - either not fitted correctly or somehow become detached while in storage. This was quickly returned and refunded by Amazon. The second unit ordered was in good condition on arrival and took less than 5 minutes to fit, restoring our flush to fully working status. I do wonder how long it will last, however.

Needed for a repair after our loo stopped flushing. (there was an air leak in our old unit about 10 years old). Straightforward - take the old one out and new one in the same hole. Check the old air pipes don't leak. There are no pipes supplied with this so you have to use your old ones. The instructions say which pipe goes where if you forget to jot it down for for half flush.

The outer casing of this product is made of cheap thin plastic (which looks like chrome) which is clipped over the top of the internal plastic mechanism. Over time, the plastic clips simply break off as they are thin and poorly made and they have to take the constant pushing of the plunger. It is easy to fit and in my experience lasts less than two years max. This is the third time I've had to replace it for the same reason. If the manufacturer used stronger plastic it would fix the problem. Once you have this fitting installed you are stuck with having to regularly replace it. If you are re-fitting your toilet cistern do not fit this product - use something stronger.

This is a dead easy replacement for a broken unit of the same kind (the plastic seems to get brittle after a few years - this is the second replacement in 10 years). For this is deserves some stars. But the description seems misleading to me. It doesn't have a 3 year warranty at all. It's a 1 year warranty. Only the box tells you that you get a 3 year warranty IF it's bought along with certain cisterns. Stars removed!

This the second or third time I have purchased this item over a period of some 12 years and I am glad to report that they have altered the design on the internal components and it it appears to be far more robust than the previous ones. That said I have always been able to carry out emergency repairs on the previous ones, it is not to difficult just an application of super glue in the appropriate place. This latest one has not even been fitted yet, still in the original box in the bathroom cupboard, with the previously repaired item still giving stirling service. I think it is overpriced (£28.00) perhaps circa £20.00 would be good value then I would be truly flushed
