Good darjeeling tea hot or cold. Medium astringency was pleasant compared to lower grades that I've had. Price is ok, although I typically get cheaper from other tea vendors. I would recommend this over any bagged version

I have been drinking Makaibari for over a decade, and ordering from their online shop for the last 3 years, but was pleasantly surprised to find the Smoky Mountain tin delivering in the US from their Amazon store. I typically buy it from Spicewaala (in store) in Seattle but wanted to give the online order a try. Tea showed up within 48 hours and tastes perfect. If you're used to the non-smoky Makaibari, or like your tea between golden and red, then remember to steep this one for about 3 minutes. If you mostly drink tea with milk, I recommend you give this a shot without milk first. You won't need a morning cup of coffee anymore if you start your day with this. If you want a lighter tea for the afternoon or evening, I recommend their Summer Solstice.

I am little confused here. Ordered one box of tea. Two days back I have received one tea container without the lid. Yesterday I have received another one with the lid , intact … the way it suppose to be . Going to return open lid container but found out it’s non refundable. So advise me what to do & I am only paying for one .

The smell and taste was not good at all and I am from Bengal so I know my teas…disappointing and item not returnable

Supposed to be a recent harvest, but lacked scent and taste. Doesn't taste like fresh Darjeeling at all. Tho Im spoiled because I have been there. Fresh Darjeeling is fragrant and delicious. This was a disappointment. BUT it will get you going thru the afternoon slump. ZOOM ! in a cup!

Pricy but a very nice treat. Being a disabled Veteran money is very tight for my family. Hope the price goes down.

This is a very well refined and well packaged product. If you enjoy tea as much as I do you definitely need to try this.

Good and authentic taste

Good one for the ones who prefer smoky flavor.

Regularly purchase this tea either from Amazon or directly from Makaibari website. Yet to have a bad experience with this. My family loves it and this is one of my favorite black tea. It has a wonderful aroma. Consistent quality over time. This is probably my 15th purchase. Please note this tea is NOT meant to be had with milk. If you do add milk and it tastes horrible, its not the tea. It was the way the tea was prepared.

The first package was good. The second package has a LOT of tea dust. The quality of tea needs to improve. My first tin and my second tin is qualitatively very different. I got another Makaibari tea from Blinkit, and that is okay-good as well. So I believe my second package from Amazon was an anomaly.
