Lovely kit. Everything you need to make the stocking. However I've bought Christmassy fabric to line it. (to hide the back of the stitching) Easy to follow graph. Would recommend

This is a lovely kit for an experienced stitcher. The chart is clear and in different colours with the key split into sections. The threads are presorted on cards with both the shade number and a printed square of the colour. There is a variety of stitches used with varying numbers of threads. Everything you need to complete the stocking is supplied as well as an alphabet to personalise it. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 as the felt to finish the stocking could be thicker but still a great buy

Arrived earlier than expected so this was very welcome. Pattern is clearly printed and yarns, colours and symbols used makes it easy to follow. Well done-now all I need is enough time to finish before Christmas 2014!

Just as expected

Probably the best kit I've worked with- the string comes pre-sorted, there is plenty of cloth and the instructions are colour coded which is handy

I have to say that I'm a little disappointed. When I opened it & looked at the instructions, it expects you to leave areas with no stitching where there's meant to be white, which is just substandard & so they don't give you enough white threads. Also when they say stocking kit, you don't expect to have to buy the material for the back of the stocking yourself. And if you don't do sewing other than cross-stitch you'll either need to learn fast or find someone to help you sew the stocking together when you've finished the cross-stitch. If it wasn't for my niece, I wouldn't bother with it, I'd just send it back.

This is a great cross stitch kit. The only thing that I have a problem with is that the material provided for the banking is of a cotton wool type. I feel that when a sharp edged item would be pushed in or pulled out it most probably would rip. I had to cut out a cotton fabric and a linning and with my daughter's help stitch it all together.

Ich habe lange nach einer Stickpackung für eine Weihnachtssocke gesucht. Die ist zu einem fairen Preis in Deutschland gar nicht so einfach zu bekommen. Ich habe bereits mehrere Stickpackungen von Dimensions gestickt und bin seit jeher mit der Qualität sehr zufrieden. Auch bei der Weihnachtssocke bin ich sehr zufrieden. Tolles Motiv und gute Qualität! Ich würde aber sagen, dass sich diese Packung nicht für Anfänger eignet. Das Motiv ist recht komplex und es ist ein gezählter Kreuzstich (nicht vorgedruckt). Weiterhin muss die Socke erst genäht werden, man bekommt einen rechteckigen Aida-Zählstoff und dieser muss erst mittels einer Vorlage zurecht geschnitten und dann mit dem Filz für die Rückseite vernäht werden. Das finde ich etwas kniffelig und ich hatte etwas Angst, etwas falsch zu machen. Ansonsten alles top!

The picture is beautiful. It’s definitely not a simple piece, so be ready to spend some time on it. I find the time spent very relaxing, so I’ve loved it. I thought I was missing some thread, but it was actually bundled on its own because there’s so much of it, and I had set it aside and forgotten about it. Customer service was very friendly and helpful, quickly responsive, and very politely helped me figure out that I’d just misplaced the extra thread. I will be buying from Dimensions again in the future!
