This is not 304 stainless steel
There is a very simple test for 304 stainless steel. 304 stainless steel should not be magnetic. Poor quality 304 stainless steel can be slightly magnetic due to impurities. This chain is highly magnetic. Meaning it can't be 304 stainless steel. Judging by previous reviews, the seller has clearly been getting away with this for some time. I bought this chain for securing an electric hoist in lofts. Fortunately, I tested the chain. But, if I hadn't, and I believed this was actually 304 stainless steel. It could have caused a serious accident as it has nowhere near the lifting capacity of the real deal.
