2004 SLK 32 AMG was not starting, until one day I turned the key and nothing. No clicks, nothing replaced a weak battery but still no start. It's a long story but I found out by doing some research that this relay failure was a chief cause of this no-start problem. I bought this MB "Engine relay also known as the k-40 relay". Car started first turn of the key and has been starting fine ever since. Part was genuine.

My 2004 Chrysler Crossfire would not start, turning the key did nothing, no slow start, no click nothing. A little research pointed me to this relay module. Genuine Mercedes part, the Crossfire has the same drivetrain as its Mercedes counterpart! Installed the new module and it started right up and ran perfectly!
