USB <> MIDI cable plug & play without drivers

Plug and play right out of the box A solid cable at a good price! Wasn't expecting it to transmit other important signals such as key velocity / (touch response) but it handles everything like a champ. Small input delay but I believe this keyboard I'm using (PSR 290) has that delay anyway due to its age, nothing too noticeable and I don't have the means to measure or prove where it is coming from... Used with and compatible with cubase 8.5 pro on Windows 10 via usb

Wanted to get a reasonably priced midi cable that will just work with my Yamaha DX7 original Mark 1 synth from 1983, without me struggling with settings and configs etc. I attempted a cheap silver cable with an oval unit which just would't work. I got this cable albeit significantly of more cost, to check if this was any good. I didn't bother with any firmware upgrade before using it straight out of its pack. It worked straight away and the plug colour coding helps a lot. Connect Black plug to MIDI IN and White plug to MIDI OUT and the USB to your computer and load up the MIDI Software. I used MIDI-OX on Windows 11 which seems to work well with this cable, remember to select this cable name for both MIDI In and Out device. For DX7 the SysEx (System Exclusive) file transfers were very quick and the DX7 confirmed as "MIDI RECEIVED!" in less than 6 Seconds. You need to unprotect the Internal Memory and set the MIDI Availability in DX7 to 'Available' before tranfering the files. Very happy with the product and highly recommend.

Works with my Roland D50. For Sysex transfers, set to 100ms for a stable connection. Not the usual cheap rubbish with a plastic blob in the middle.

Plug it in and it does the job. I don't need any more advanced features than simple MIDI connectivity

Has enough bandwidth to support my keyboard and its analog pedal I had plugged in which is something similar products struggle with, smaller midi controllers would definitely work, a full length keyboard with a sustain and pitch bend have yet to be tested. The latency is so-so, it could be more to do with my old hardware but theres certainly a delay when playing, more likely that's to do with my software. The drivers just work. It simply plugs in. Everything functions as it should. 10/10 might buy another.

Very good product,great price and easy to use

Plug and play pretty much. Latency is really low and therefore useful if precise timing with another source is important. I was able to install the firmware update (from Windows). Their support confirms to me this has a high speed optoisolator too so got rid of a ground loop that I otherwise had from using the digital piano's built-in USB MIDI.

I used it to connect a KORG M1 to my MS Surface to restore the sounds preloaded at the factory. It worked well, the connectors was marked making it fool proof.

Plugged in and worked, no problem and no fuss!

Bisher habe ich für 5-pol Midi-Geräte am PC mit einem billigen No-Name-USB 2.0-Adapter verbunden, was eigentlich immer gut funktioniert hat. Als ich letztens ein älteres Roland PC-180E Midi-Keyboard geerbt habe und es an den Computer anschließen wollte, wurde der alte Adapter zwar erkannt, bekam aber kein Signal vom Roland. Nach langem Ausprobieren, habe ich das Midi-Keyboard auseinandergenommen um zu sehen, ob evtl. eine Steckverbindung nicht angeschlossen war, oder irgend ein anderer Defekt vorlag. Nix! Das Keyboard war trotz seines Alters in einem optimalen Zustand. Nach mehreren Tagen Recherche und Kopfzerbrechen, woran et wohl jelejen haben mag, dass kein Signal beim Adapter ankam und ich das alte Keyboard schon als defekt in die Bucht stellen wollte, fiel mir ein, es mal an meine Korg-Workstation anzuschließen und siehe da: Es funktionierte. Nur eben am PC nicht und das Adapterteil war auch nicht kaputt. Aber es kam kein Signal vom Roland. Dann grub ich noch tiefer in den Foren und fand einen einzigen Eintrag, in dem irgendein Nerd einen sogenannten "Optokoppler" in den Billigheimer Adapter eingelötet hat, weil er das gleiche Problem hatte. Also weitergesucht und schließlich dieses Teil von CME gefunden, was im Internet hochgepriesen wird und anscheinen das einzige Gerät ist, was für alle Midi-Verbindungen zuverlässig funktioniert. Nun geht auch mein Roland MIDI-Keyboard am PC und ich bin glücklich. Es sind wirklich nur ein paar Euro mehr für ein endlich funktionierendes und gut durchdachtes und hochwertiges Gerät. Besonders gut finde ich die Bezeichnungen an den Steckern (To MIDI IN - To MIDI OUT) damit gar nicht erst Verwirrung bei den Steckerverbindungen aufkommt. Danke CME Gut finde

Desde que compré este cable MIDI, me ha facilitado mucho la conexión entre mis dispositivos sin necesidad de instalar drivers ni hacer configuraciones complicadas. Es realmente un "plug & play", lo conectas al ordenador y al teclado o sintetizador, y enseguida empieza a funcionar sin problemas. La transferencia de datos es rápida y sin latencia apreciable, lo que es fundamental cuando tocas en tiempo real y necesitas que la respuesta sea inmediata. El cable tiene una buena construcción, se nota resistente y los conectores encajan bien sin holguras, algo que me da confianza para un uso prolongado. Además, el filtro integrado hace su trabajo reduciendo ruidos o interferencias, algo que con otros cables más baratos suele ser un problema. Lo he probado tanto en Windows como en Mac y en ambos ha funcionado sin complicaciones. Si hay algo que podría mejorar, quizá sería la longitud del cable, que para algunos setups podría quedarse un poco justa si tienes los equipos separados, aunque para la mayoría de situaciones es más que suficiente. También hay que tener en cuenta que es un cable diseñado para MIDI tradicional, por lo que no tiene las funciones avanzadas de una interfaz MIDI más completa, pero si solo necesitas conectar tu instrumento al ordenador sin gastar demasiado, es una opción excelente. En general, cumple perfectamente su función, sin fallos y con una calidad de materiales que da confianza. Muy recomendable para quienes busquen una solución sencilla, fiable y sin complicaciones.
