Technik Self-Etch Primer (Allows difficult motorbike & car surfaces such as metals, glass, steel trims, aluminium, engine, alloy wheels etc to be painted)

Bought this item to prime an outside light after stripping old paint - worked really well - easy to use and seems to be weathering well (6 months later).

Had a rusty motorbike fuel tank underneath, manually prepped and rust treated as best as possible. Used this etch primer as a key for upol high build primer, then basecoat and clear. Just needed a very light coat before the high build, dried quickly, really etches into the surface well. Will definitely use this again where a good key on an imperfect surface is needed.

It did what it was supposed to do and it's not a bad product at all I would use it again.

tHaven't tried Technic products before, I usually use U Pol or Bilt Hamber. It appears to work well and the paint goes on with no difficulty. I've used it to spray an Alloy motorcycle casing, so far it has adhered well with no peeling or flaking off. Would certainly use it again.

Technik Self-Etch Primer is a good quality paint that manages to cover well but also be sheer enough to not be gloopy and make the area difficult to finish. It provides the right balance between cover and finish. Recommended.
