“Plug, Press, Power — NEXPEAK Makes Battery Care Effortless!”
I couldn’t be happier with this NEXPEAK 2-Pack Smart Battery Charger Maintainer! Right out of the gate, the packaging impressed me — a very tidy box with two chargers neatly packed, clean and secure. The instructions were refreshingly simple and clear, making setup a breeze. It took me all of five minutes to unpack one charger and hook it up to my mower in trickle mode. That’s it — plug, push the mode button, and done. If I’d had this three months ago, I probably would’ve saved myself $60 on a new battery. Lesson learned! Now that I’ve got a fresh battery, I’m keeping it on trickle charge, especially with winter approaching and my mower sitting idle more often. I use my Hustler mower for mulching leaves during the colder months, and the mulching block works great. But in my unheated garage, the cold can really drain a battery fast. This charger gives me peace of mind — it’s simple to switch between standard, repair, and trickle modes with just a button press. The clip connectors attach easily to the extension wire, and once it’s plugged in — voilà — we’re good to go. I highly recommend this charger set. It’s well-priced, well-reviewed, and the fact that it’s a two-pack means I can use one on my mower and keep the other for backup or another vehicle. Smart, efficient, and reliable — this is a must-have for anyone looking to protect their batteries year-round.

Versatile informative combo tender/charger that automatically detects 6 volt or 12 volt system
These battery tenders are awesome. First off, they automatically sense 6 volt or 12 volt, which was very important to me because I have a 6 volt Porsche 356, but with 2 batteries wired in either series or parallel (hard to tell which). So, I connected to the positive on one battery and the negative terminal on the other battery, and it worked perfectly as a 6 volt charger. Second, the amount of information given on the screen is way better than all of the other battery tenders I own - you can easily see exactly what the tender is doing. Third, it's quiet. I just returned another battery tender that had a tiny cooling fan that would kick on anytime the tender sent power to the battery, and it was really annoying. Fourth, it allows be to select between acting as a battery tender or a battery charger (albeit with a pretty small charging rate - but still, nice option). So, huge thumbs up for this battery tender!

Nexpeak chargers work better than the others by FAR
The reason I got these is, you can set the charger on pulse repair manually. Many chargers with a pulse charge does it during the auto cycle. This is good for repairing weak or old batteries or, just doing a maintenance cycle on a good one, it keeps them clean inside. What you want to do is test the batteries internal resistance. Lead acid car batteries should be less than 3, but up to 5 is still ok.... the smaller the better. As I have run these on multiple batteries, it takes time. Check the IR of the battery, put it on the repair cycle. I run them 12hr on 12hr off, and then check the batt. I have found that if its going to end up being repairable, the IR will drop about 1 milliohm for every 12-24 hr you run it. At some point it will stop dropping and its done all it can do. I have used these chargers to take batteries from 10-15milliohm IR down to 5 or 6. That makes the battery useable for a good while. If you can check the CCA, take note of that, it should go up to match the batteries rating within reason. (IE, a 500CCA batery that reads 300, and goes up to 400ish.) The CCA rating is how long a battery can crank before the voltage drops below spec. But simply put, this charger can and does de-sulfate and improve old weak batteries quite well, and with the manual setting feature, when you want and not when the charger seems to think it needs it. (because auto chargers that can desulfate are frankly, often wrong) Nexpeak chargers are a fantastic deal and, very useful. Note... for charging, they are 1.7v trickle chargers... they take a long time to charge a weak battery. They are more suited to maintaining batts that are not used often. If you want to actually charge up a batt, get a larger nexpeak charger like a 6 or 10A model. Same difference just faster.

Standby Charger for 6v or 12 v batteries
Nice for winter storage ! Has a desulfate function to repair batteries. Can be used for long term trickle charging. Very similar to the battery tender.

Works great for me
These are a good value and easy to use. Nice to have a couple laying around for small engines like generators and motorcycles. The only thing I don't like is that if you leave this charger connected to a battery, but not plugged in to an outlet, the display on the unit shows the battery voltage and as far as I can see it never turns the display off. So if you leave it that way, the display will slowly deplete the battery charge. I wanted to leave this attached to my motorcycle all the time and just plug in a cord when I felt like it could use some juice. But cannot do that, I would just be running the battery down faster. I still give 5 stars because the product does what it is designed to do and does it will.
