Works great but be warned....it foams like crazy and very quickly.
I had a problem with tree roots way out by the street from the time I bought my house. Became friends with the local, independent rooter guy as he was out each 6 months to clear clogs in the line. He suggested a man who wouldn't break the bank in figuring out where the root intrusion was and repairing it. I had him over and he ran a camera, finding the problem at the point where my sewer line met the city line. The city claimed it was my problem. The man dug down about 4 feet to find the problem and cut a ton of roots from the chinese Elm tree next door, saying he had bought me some time to think about having him replace some line and fitting. The cost would be about $15,000. Took my breath away. I used Roebics for a year or so and it worked OK then I came across this product with great reviews. Have not had a clog since (and the neighbor just had that tree removed). I should warn anyone who tries to put it in through a toilet, that it foams like crazy and very quickly. You really need one person with a big bucket full of water to pour it in immediately after you put this product in or it will foam onto the floor. Ask me how I know? The second time I did it through the cleanout and had a hose ready. No fuss, no muss and no root clogs.

Keep the tree roots out of your sewer line.
For many years we had to have out sewer line rotorooted due to tree roots. Been using this product for 15 years and have not had to have the plumber come to the house. Plus it will not damage cast iron or clay pipes like some other solutions do,

Works good
I do like this stuff it does work. When I first bought this several years ago it worked better it really foamed up and cleaned everything. Currently when I use this it doesn't foam up like it used to. I cannot flush the toilet twice to get it down the line just once is good otherwise it goes out in the line too far out or into the main line. It is expensive and I am looking for an alternative way to clean my line out. Overall good product does clean out roots

Effective and Easy to Use
The RootX - 2 LB. JAR Foaming Root Control has been a lifesaver for my sewer line maintenance. This product effectively eliminates tree root blockages, ensuring smooth and clog-free drainage. One of the standout features is its foaming action. Unlike other root-killing agents that tend to flow along the bottom of the pipe, RootX creates a foam that rises and covers the entire pipe, ensuring thorough treatment and eliminating roots throughout1 . The application is straightforward, even without a funnel or applicator. Simply flush the contents down the toilet, and the RootX formula does its work. It’s designed to be safe for all plumbing, non-caustic, and non-fumigating, so there’s no risk of damage to your pipes or fittings1 . I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my sewer line since using RootX. The roots are effectively killed, and the decomposed material is flushed away, preventing future blockages. It’s a reliable and efficient solution for anyone dealing with root infiltration in their sewer lines. Overall, the RootX - 2 LB. JAR Foaming Root Control is a highly effective and easy-to-use product for maintaining clear and clog-free sewer lines. Highly recommended for homeowners and professionals alike!

It works. It works
It works and actually kills the roots that keep getting in my plumbing pipe and I use it every 6 months. Follow the instructions and it works. It foams nicely to cover the pipe 360 degree which is important when the pipe is 8ft under ground and roots could be coming from any direction and great drainage without smell. It beats the $7000 qout from several plumbing companies to replace 20ft pipe and that was 5 years ago that when I started using the product. Thanks

Would highly recommend!
Worth the money to buy this as we’ve had roots growing in our sewer pipes from bushes lined up along the fence. We use this on average twice a year, and it helps a lot to kill off any roots that have grown into our sewer pipe underground. It’s easy to use. Just make sure you have a funnel when you pour in the recommended amount into your toilet and flush it in the evening, making sure not to use the toilet that night so the product has a chance to work. There is no smell, but make sure you cover your face and eyes because there’s a little bit of a powdered haze that comes up once you pour it in the toilet. Would recommend!

Worked as advertised. Would recomend using a funnel. Sewer line has remained root free for a year after using. Good product.

This stuff definitely works, but it makes a mess if you're not careful. If you do use it indoors, try the basement tub instead, to control the overflow of foam. It should be said this product will not help if your root problem is serious -- call a plumber and then have the intrusive trees removed. Over time, these roots will get stronger and cause even greater problems, such as sink holes in your basement. I recommend this product if your root problem is a minor one. It is expensive, which is why you should be sure what degree of issue you have.
