A well made product which can be used to connect the cars OBD2 socket when requiring to test externally without any damage to the host socket. It is colour coded with respective leds that illuminate when connected when testing which is a nice feature. It has a good length of cable that saves probing the cars OBD2 socket using four mm banana test leads when using a multimeter on the breakout.

I was first impressed with the quality of the packaging. It was a strong box with good quality printing on it. The break out box itself seems sturdy with no bad manufacturing seams or misaligned sections. The cable seems like it will last. The only thing is that the printing on the box marking the position of the connection holes is too small and repeats the letters “OBD” before every number. If the letters were not there the numbers could be printed larger. I find myself counting to make sure I am using the correct hole. The test leads look like good quality metal that will retain its shape for a long time.

Have had a lot of highspeed can bus issues lately on cars. (Been a tech for 23 years, specifically with electrical and computer diagnostics). Plugging this into the OBD2 port on a car gives me quick verification of battery power supplies at connector, grounds and CAN bus activity. The ability to tap into the banana connectors while a scan tool is plugged in also is fantastic for reading waveforms with an oscilloscope. Also checking overall CAN bus resistance unpowered using the banana plug taps makes diag much faster and more convenient than trying to GENTLY probe the OBD2 connector itself which sometimes are buried in the depths of a dashboard. Fantastic tool and well worth the money for quick preliminary and some more advanced testing.

Game changer for doing in car diagnostics when you cant get voltage readings to be consistent. So fast, so easy, and really clear instructions on what to do! Its a must have for any shop who is serious about repairing cars
