BMW technician review
I’ve been an automotive dealer mechanic for 15 years , the last 5 of them working for BMW. I no longer work in the dealer and have moved out of the business. I purchased this kit for my 2013 N20 X3 to replace the exhaust vanos adjustment gear. The alloy materials used in this kit are subpar compared to the OEM tool, but that is reflected in the price . That being said , I saw no difference in the effectiveness or accuracy of this tool compared to the OEM tool. I used the TDC torque converter pin, flywheel lock, cam shaft locking bridge , and pulse sensor wheel alignment jig. All worked great. I cannot review any other part of the kit because I didn’t use them , but assume they would work well.
