This Ethernet Shield is based on the Wiznet W5100 ethernet chip, giving you an easy way to get online. It is supported by the official for Arduino Ethernet library. It has the added micro SD card slot so that you can use it to move files over the network. The Wiznet W5100 provides a network (IP) stack capable of both TCP and UDP. It supports up to four simultaneous socket connections. Use the Ethernet library to sketch, to write to the internet, across the screen. The Ethernet Shield allows you to easily connect your Arduino or compatible device to the internet. This shield allows your device to send and receive data from anywhere with an internet connection.
