Hits the spot
I don't get acid reflux too often, but when I do, this is my go to!

Great price for a great product
Great price. I like the minty variety. Also, Tagamet isn't always easy to find in stores, and it's usually a lot more expensive.

Cooler Than The Other Side of the Pillow
I was reluctant to try a new flavor when original Tagamet works so well, but I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Cool Mint Tagamet is a winner in my book.

Mixed Results: Negated effects of pizza/lactose heartburn, but hot sauce kickback not so much
We do a lot of culinary experimentation in our household because it's fun and because we like to broaden our horizons and find new ways to experience old familiar foods. We're often adding cheeses, hot sauces, peppers, chili sauces, and all manner of other weird things to foods that would otherwise produce no real acid kickback. Also, we really like pizza, lots of it. And well, my body doesn't handle cheese and pizza sauce as well as it used to. Sad days. Consequently, we have a pretty steady supply of antacids and heart burn relief meds in the bathroom for both myself AND the wife, because while both of us enjoy the kitchen adventures, neither of us likes losing sleep as a result of them. We have our normal brands, but we decided to branch out and give these a try and we found the results to be mixed. ***Where they worked*** They definitely worked best for us when it was for more basic things like pizza (or anything else covered in cheese) and lighter spicy endeavors like hot wings with mild to medium sauces. Assuming we took these things with about 30-40 minutes of lead-in time, we could usually avoid a night of discomfort and just enjoy the food. Considering that's the extent of a lot of people's need, that speaks pretty well for these. ***Where these things didn't quite cut it*** Those nights when we really went for it and made things crazy spicy with chili crisp sauces, pepper sauces, actual chili peppers, or if we ordered from a nearby Thai restaurant that prides itself in producing dishes that are like running lava through your digestive track, there was no medically safe number of these taken before or during that did the trick. It was like we'd taken no heartburn pills at all. ***The Verdict*** These things seem perfectly capable when the amount of acid in question is mild to slightly above average, but when put up against a real challenge we found these didn't really work for us at all. That being said, for most people, these things will more than suffice, because most people aren't actively torturing themselves with over-the-top spiciness for the fun of it. As a side note: we were confused why these things tout a mint flavor. Is it supposed to be symbolic? It seems like a weird thing to have wasted money on when making these. ***Overall Value*** If you have mild heartburn, these should do the trick for you no problem. If you're a bit more adventuresome or incredibly sensitive you might want to look for something stronger.

Almost Expired...
The product itself is fine, but the box I received is due to expire in just 2 months (Nov 2024). Since i don't take a Tagamet every day (just 2 or 3 a week), about half the pills will be past the expiration date when I swallow them.
