My tap didn't have an aerator so I bought this and I am amazed with the performance. The water comes out smoothly and does not splashback at me at all. It also slows down the rate of water slightly, so it saves you from wasting water too. It fit my tap snuggly and feels strong and sturdy. If you are having problems where you get splashback from your sink, try this and it might solve your problem.

The product was good quality and made of metal rather than chromed plastic which was good to see. It fitted well, although if you are using it on a gravity based feed, then it will not work as well. If installed on a system with both good mains cold water pressure and pumped hot pressure, it will work. The filters will need regular checking if you live in a rural area.

Good quality, limescale is a problem in this area, replaced aerators and sink taps look like new. I will mention that aerators reduce water flow as well as acting as filters, found water flow better without it on bathtub tap. Highly recommend.

Arrived quickly and was exactly what was needed, would buy again

A well made item, supplied ahead of the estimated time scale, initially I thought it unsuitable for my mixer tap but it was easily adaptable. The washer supplied was intended for internal use, I needed an external O ring. The chrome body has a recess for an O ring so I purchased one from my local DIY store and it provided a watertight fit. Next my flow rate was too slow but again this can be improved, the top filter is blue and cone shaped, poke it with the point of a kitchen knife and it falls out. The next filter is a circular white disc which easily falls out. If you want any more flow you have to cut between the holes on the next white filter and remove the centre disc you have created by cutting between the holes. I did this and the result is that I have adjusted the supplied item to my exact needs. In reality it is not easy for the amateur to know which flow rate is right for the tap and the hot/cold flow rates so I was pleased to adapt the supplied item for my needs. If it works first time then so much the better!
