Review: A brilliant little revision tool - I used this as my main revision source for PACES and it was excellent. I passed first time. What I liked about this book is that it keeps things simple - so many of the PACES books make things unnecessarily complicated which stresses you out even more - the last thing you need! This is clear and concise with most of the important cases covered. It is particularly good for station 5. Review: Case for paces - A very good review for PACES

Great for near-exam time
I ordered this book 2 weeks before my exam on the recommendation of my peers. Was skeptical as I thought it was too small a book to cover PACES, but what it does well is emphasise the main and most commonly encountered cases/scenarios and the salient points (and not the weird and wonderful minutiae). A very useful adjunct to a core text like Mehta et al but does rely on good prior knowledge.

Worth having
It's a classic for a reason. Useful broad base to consolidate knowledge, and handy size to carry about during the weeks of hell trawling the wards!

Good and concise
Good and concise. You’ll need this for theoretical info and marking sheets. However, it doesn’t tell you anything about the sequence of examination or practical points.

A fantastic book
I used this book years ago whilst studying for MRCP. It was great then, it’s great now. Highly recommend

Clear and concise
Very useful book to take onto the wards to practice PACES scenarios with. Contains just enough information to consolidate knowledge for the viva section of PACES for multiple common conditions that you may be examined on.

Excellent book for MRCP PACES especially in the last few ...
Excellent book for MRCP PACES especially in the last few weeks before the exam, covering the salient points for all the common cases that could come up in the exam. I also found this very helpful for station 5 in particular the Acute Medicine scenarios! Although probably does not go into great depths of detail, it is a a great book to carry around on the wards during preparation for PACES
