I'd recommend this or the ToneX One to any guitarists.
This is hard to beat for the quality of the amp sounds and value for money. The ToneX has been getting some really nice software/firmware updates lately that have made them even better. The updates have added some really nice new creative effects, as well as a real-time editor so that you can easily tweak amp sounds and create your own sound. The latest software updates have made it a lot more intuitive and easy to use as well, which was a complaint that people had previously. The support for the ToneX pedals seems to be very active. The pedal is constructed from metal, and the quality of the knobs and switches feels really good. Feels sturdy, and like it will last. Good size. Roughly the size of 2 regular sized guitar pedals. This and the ToneX One both have a ton of functionality. It also functions as an audio interface (limited to 44.1Khz sample rate), so you can record both the direct and processed signal into a DAW like Cubase/Logic/Studio One/Reaper etc. and then apply the ToneX plugin to the DI signal with a different amp model and create double tracked guitars or dual amp tones very easily. Great piece of guitar hardware that I highly recommend to any guitarists, young or old, experienced or not.

One of the best amp sims at any price.
I have a variety of amp sims, ranging from a quad cortex, to plugins, to this and this is one of the simplest and most reliable to use once it's set up. The software isnt the best, but it's one of those things that one it's done, it's great. The amp models sound as good as modellers that cost 5x as much. It's very flexible, it can do whatever you need amp-wise, from pedal platforms to high gain monsters. They don't sound identical, but they sound close enough in a mix. You can even use it as a drive or distortion pedal into your regular amp making it very versatile.

Gamechanger
I purchased this because I am tired of lugging heavy amps around, and paired with a lightweight FRFR speaker it sounds amazing! It's quite easy to use and with the online library of around 22,000 captures, you are guaranteed to find some patches you love. The pedal itself is solid, and the included software (Full versions of Tonex and Amplitube) makes this pedal a real bargain. I've not used any of the effects (I have Helix for that) but the amp modelling is superb and there really is something for everyone.

Great unit, with certain conditions attached.
This is a fantastic unit and the bundled software package is fantastic. Excellent value for money. *not impressed with the release of the anniversary edition, which has features etc that are only on that unit. That being i stand i still rate it as Excellent. Using the obvious comparisons with similar units, like the Line 6 HX Stomp: that unit is easier to navigate than the ToneX. That being said, I'm gonna run some tests over the course of 12 months and see where things are at. Super Positive Points: Fan-bloody-tastic amps. The choices available are very comprehensive with all the usual suspects and a few less loved ones. With this you "only" get six fx to play with, however, I feel fairly confident in saying that the peeps that'll be using this will have plenty of fx on hand!

It's not just hype, it's really very good.
It only arrived this afternoon. I've played through it for maybe an hour. Goodness! I had to drag myself away to write this review, and to put my Helix on ebay! Yeah the software is harder work that it needs to be, and the effects are basic, but the amp sounds, and the feel! I haven't enjoyed playing the guitar so much since the last time I had a real amp. For the money and the size/convenience, it's unbeatable for me, it's fantastic.

100% realistic guitar rigs.
Not intuitive to use at all... in fact it's about as intuitive as a Sony digital camera menu system! (which means it makes zero sense). But once you learn of the cryptic menu & push-button system it does what it says on the tin; offering endless guitar tones with perfect cabinet impulse response modelling. My friend borrowed it a few times for bass gigs & it worked 100% for that.

Sounds great, not easy to use
So, this sounds great, but personally I’ve really struggled with the interface. I may have to concede that I’m getting a bit older now and perhaps not finding stuff quite as easy to pick up, but when we’re seeing more touch screen interfaces and phone app control around, it makes this seem overly clunky. I’ve gravitated way more to Positive Grid for home use. That said, it’s built really well and I imagine would be the gigging choice, assuming it’s all set up in advance. Possibly a bit harsh giving it this score, with the sound being so good, but if you’re new to or not great with tech, then I’d look at something else.

Nice back up
Lots of variety once you can get the app to work. Nice and compact. A version with a volume pedal would be better for my use though. I still struggle to get it sounding/feeling as good as playing through a valve amp on stage. Audience probably won’t care It I still feel better with an amp where that’s realistic. I don’t find the software particularly user friendly with far too many steps for basic functions. I still feel that my Kempers sound better for my use. I’ve had all the modelers and this is a fair one with good competition for the pricier alternatives. Sturdy and pedal board friendly too.
