Comfortable and highly recommended
I bought these to put inside my hiking boots to make my feet less sore at the end of a gruelling hike, they work a treat, easy to fit, very comfortable, good quality and highly recommended. Since buying them my wife has bought some and her parents who have walking/mobility issues re back problems and they love them too and find them much better for their feet and they seem to help their back too and they are walking more than they used to.

Helped on our first long walk
These were pretty difficult to fit into our hiking boots that already have insoles built in as they're a snug fit, however, once in they really helped to make a more comfortable walk. We have had blisters since and my toes do feel a bit squashed (I'm not sure if you're supposed to take the built in insoles out before fitting them - I don't t

Buy these, they really work
My husband was diagnosed with Plantis in his feet around six months ago. Despite visiting a number of specialists, it was not getting any better and it was starting to affect my husband's quality of life as he could not do sport and found the first half hour walking in the morning excruitiating. I bought these after reading another buyer on line review and looking at the feedback which was ovewhelming positive. My husband loves them. The first day he used them he got immediate relief and said walking was much easier. Three weeks on he is would not be without them, and we have bought two additional pairs for his other shoes. For those reviewers that have posted negative feedback - i would suggest that some reviewers expectations are frankly unrealistic. My husband has very serious foot problems for 6 months and it takes time for the ligments in the sole of the foot to regenerate and repair. For those expecting an immediate cure - these insoles may not be the right product for you. However, if you are happy to combine these insoles with wearing soft foot splints at night then you will get immediate relief the next day, and after a week or two they will make a huge difference to the quality of your life, so much so that when you wake up in the morning you will not dread that first step when you get out of bed. For best results, i would suggest buying more than one pair, as otherwise you need to move them between shoes. They are quite chunky and they feel odd at first, but you get use to it. You also need to use some splints at night to stop your foot relaxing into its normal sleeping position which means you immediatetly tear the plantis in morning, when you put the foot down. If you use soft foot splints or the sossman sock - I would recommend that yoy dont bind it tightly at night. Its not necessary - you simply need to ensure that the foot does not relax into the sleeping position - but it does not need to be an instrument of torture to work or help the ligaments under the foot heal in the elongated position (which is the position you use when walking).

Size doesn't match
The soles are ok good gel padding on the heel but too less at the front also the size is off bought a size 7 to 8 for my shoes which are a size 7.5 and they where too big so had to cut them to make them for but now I can't return because of that.

Good for helping with plantar fasciitis
Since I have taken up running and netball recentlyI decided to treat myself to some fancy new footwear, so got my running gait analysed at same time. Apparently I have a tendancy to over/under-pronate (can't remember which one) so i bought stabalising trainers to help with this. After about 3 weeks I began to get pains up and down my right foot which doctor diagnosed as plantar fasciitis. Now, i could have just said sod it to the exercise but I enjoy them so wanted an alternative, and the physio exercises I was given didn't seem to make a difference. Turns out although the trainers are good, the insoles they come with are not so I swapped them for these and its made a difference within 72 hours.

Pay that little for comfort.
I have tried many types of "gel" insoles.. Most of them are cheaper than the Spenco Ironman ones, and therein lies the proof of comfort. Some of the others start off comfy enough but when you stant to pound the pavements, they shrivel up or the rubber and gel just don't stand up to the job and with sweaty feet they don;t take long to disintegrate. I have been wearing these in my trainers daily for several weeks and they are as comfortable today as when I first put them in. In this case if comfort is worth anything to you, it's worth paying a little extra.

great insoles absolutely worth the money
Absolutely worth the money. Easy to size with a pair of scissors and super comfortable. I used them for 2 years in the shoes I had (I'm a bit late with this review) and the bounce never left them. For me they were particularly good because there is some nerve or something I step on in the balls of my feet, right behind the long toe. These insoles made it a lot less painful.
