Audient iD24 10in | 14out Audio Interface - USB Interface

Bought to replace a Universal Audio Apollo. The iD24 lacks the Apollo's DSP, which I no-longer found necessary since moving to Apple silicon, but in all other respects is at least equal and in many ways better. Most importantly, input and output sound quality is first class. I switched in the middle of a recording project and, having matched levels etc., cannot tell the difference. Build quality is very nice, and in particular the physical toggle switches for phantom power, pad, etc. are a nice touch. Pity it's made in China rather than the UK, though. I'd happily pay a bit more for domestic manufacture, and I'm pleased to see some UK audio companies moving back in this direction. There are some minor usability niggles. The markers on the input level knobs are hard to see, especially at a glance. Likewise the volume knob: I miss the Apollo's illuminated, colour-coded ring. These visibility issues are exacerbated by the fact the control panel isn't angled forward like most desktop audio interfaces. Overall, though, this is a lot of interface for the money. As faster processors reduce the need for DSP, I expect to see Audient attracting a lot of new customers.

Fantastic build quality sturdy its got enough future proofing that if need to add more inputs can be easily done and sound quality is supperb. The software did take me a little to get my head around but once its setup its so easy to use.

Very good quality of built materials and premium pre-amps. The size is perfect for home studios. Not many interferences with this price come with ADAT in/out expantion which is a plus if you plan to expand your studio in the future.

It amazing if you are beginning your journey, even later comes in handy

Pristine audio for not a lot of money, out performs within its price range on virtually every level. Price vs features this interface beats them all. TIP: If you don't need adat in/out, id recommended the ID14 mkII which is even better value as the audio specs are virtually the same as the ID24.

I've been trying to get a decent bus powered interface with 10+ i/o. I've compared the iD24 to the SSL12. Both have their pros and cons but ultimately the SSL wins quite comfortably. Pros: Nice build quality, good customisation with front buttons, LED meters, ADAT in and out plus wordclock. Cons: Accompanying mixer software is OK but not great, the biggie.....sound quality. Unfortunately the sound quality here is the biggest downfall, driving Beyer DT250 headphones the sound is slightly muffled and veiled which makes it a complete deal breaker for my work. I've decided to keep the SSL12, their mixer software is amazing, the sound quality is amazing. You lose some of the bells and whistles but as a complete package it's definitely a big improvement and the compromises are in the right places, YMMV.

Whilst the unit has some plus points (things like nearly unclippable DI input) the main issues are around the software. When I first got the unit I was having weird static type noises coming through the headphones... after various googling turns out I needed to update the firmware. The unit I was shipped came with firmware version 0.0.0.4, yeah you read that right, almost like a pre-alpha firmware was loaded prior to shipping - no bueno! The one online at the time was version 1.1.1.1 just to give you an idea of what it updated to. The other issue is the windows drivers are very iffy, if I have the DAW open and want to play windows sounds in the background no matter the setting the driver has problems with stuttering even the simplest of mp3's on playback, an issue I've not had on various other audio interfaces I own. Still on the fence whether I'll keep it or not, after that the function seems fine so may just all be my setup :)

In diesem Preissegment mit Abstand das beste Interface! Die Ergebnisse sind im Vergleich z.B. zu motu m4 um Lichtjahre besser. Das liegt vor allem an den tollen Preamps … die sind wirklich absolut top! Auch an dem dazugehörigen Software Router/Mixer gibt’s nichts auszusetzen, ganz im Gegenteil bietet der einige echt praktische Funktionen, die ich von anderen Interfaces in dieser Preisklasse nicht kenne, und die Line In/out Option ist das absolute Sahnehäubchen. Der Low-Latency Mode ist wirklich Low-Latency, selbst bei relativ hohen Samples. Absolute Kaufempfehlung, wenn man auf der Suche nach einem preisgünstigen Interface ist, das absolut professionelle Ergebnisse liefert! Würde ich sofort wieder kaufen!

Hice el pedido desde México, duró mas de un mes en llegar pero valió la pena porque tuve un buen precio. Me gusta los materiales de la interfaz, su sonido es muy bueno, sentí una gran diferencia pues mi anterior interfaz era una M-Audio ya vieja. Me gusta la versatilidad que tiene pues se puede expandir por ADAT y la opción de poder conectar efectos análogos en las conexiones INSERT, el sonido es muy limpio, me gusta como se escucha mi guitarra eléctrica conectada en la entrada de instrumento.

l' ho utilizzata per poco tempo, ma mi sembra veramente notevole. Usata regolamente su windows 10 e drivers senza problemi. Il suono e le funzionalita' sono veramente al top di gamma. Ha la possibilita' di utilizzare un preamplificatore microfoni esterno con bypass del pre interno mediante apposito plug 1/4 bilanciato. Ancora non trovo nesssuna cosa negativa.

Excelente interfaz, es la segunda unidad que obtengo, ya que compré la última como respaldo. La utilizo profesionalmente para grabaciones de guitarra clásica, con un AKG c414 xls y un AT4021 u otro AKG. Los previos de la interfaz han superado a los previos del ART MPA II. En un entorno tratado, el sonido es muy, muy bonito. En windows 11 (en un ordenador potente), la estabilidad es increíble, ni un solo problema en muchísimas horas de grabación. El mixer de control es notable, por funciones y latencia, me permita controlar desde el ordenador la interfaz, algo para mi imprescindible. Contras que marcaría, falta de interruptor de alimentación, los previos tienen su ganancia en el tercio superior de las perillas, lo que puede hace más dificultosa su regulación, vuelve a cero sus salidas en cada reinicio y hace un golpe en los parlantes al encenderse. para mi cosas menores en relación a los beneficios. Tienes también una construcción muy solida, insertos, adat de entrada y salida con word clock, convertidores de 32 bit de muy alta calidad, funcionan muy bien, muy bajo ruido y un gran rango dinámico. La salida de auriculares, conectada la interfaz a un puerto usb C, es también excelente para auriculares de alta impedancia. Muy confiable para un uso profesional.
