Print Wacky Sentences: First and Second Grade Writing Practice Workbook: (Reproducible)

I absolute love this book for my seven year old son. Little boys are known for there terrible handwriting, not to mention there hate for it. My sons handwriting was causing him to loose points at school on tests, even though the answers were correct he lost points for sloppiness. For instance his O would look like an A and he would be deducted points, or for not even using a period. This book has been fun for the both of us, the sentences are not that funny, some are, however it has improved his writing skills. I give him a box of different markers and crayons and let him make rainbow words or match the color with the feel of the sentence. I recommend this to anyone who has issues with there child's handwriting. It has also helped him develop better sentence structure on his own, which is amazing!

My daughter has struggled to get excited about school and finds writing "boring". However this book is great! The silly sentences make writing fun and funny! The first section of writing includes pages for tracing the sentences, then graduates to tracing and copying, eventually moving to just copying.

I think I could print my own pages for my 6 year old child to practice, but this is a good book. He likes the sentences and it’s good motivation to practice his handwriting. I think it’s great for 1st - 2nd grade

I got this for my 5 year old, whom is homeschooled and hates handwriting. I was hoping this would encourage him to write and he could laugh at the wacky sentences when doing it. We do one page a day and he loves reading them to me. He's loved some of them so much he's read them to his dad when he gets home also. At first he complained about having extra handwriting to do every day but now he loves it. I definitely recommend this for parents who's kids are reluctant handwriters and can read at at least a 1st to 2nd grade level. I do have to explain some of the jokes to my son since he is so young but that doesn't take the enjoyment out of it for him.

My 8 year-old finished up 2nd grade and the one thing he really needed to work on academically was his writing. I purchased this for him to work on over the summer. He got a total kick out of the silly sentences and it has helped his handwriting. I do wish that it was printed a little smaller. He needs to learn to make his letters properly but also smaller. We'll keep using it through 3rd grade until we run out of pages.

I bought this for my 12 year old son to improve his horrendous handwriting. The sentences are kind of dumb, but still funny enough to keep him a bit entertained. The silly sentences are more a way to keep him from being totally miserable than a form of fun. I love that the pages start out with full tracing, then change to part tracing, part copying later on. I would definitely order this again.

My son loves tracing the sentences. They are not silly more so stupid you laugh. I was not a fan for tracing for handwriting but for him it helps take the battle out of it and he is practicing.

This book is so fun. I bought it for my brother in the hopes that it would help his handwriting. The sentences are definitely wacky and fun for the kids to read. It's a good book to practice tracing letters while not simply repeating the same letters over and over.

This is a great resource for a grade 1 and 2s. The section for great 1s is tracing the sentence, the part for grade 2s is rewriting the sentence. It’s a way for kids to practice penmanship and reading. We do one sentence everyday. We take the longer words of the sentences and make those vocal words for the week.
