Amtech C3185 2 Piece T-Handle Manhole Key Set

Cheap, robust, fits the hole. They are ideal for the job and it was easier than I imagined lifting a heavy cast iron drain cover on my own.

Absolutely perfect fit for drain/sewage covers. Solid, strong key set, even has flat end onnit to lift from the sides, definitely recommend! Will upload pictures when it’s daylight. Really happy, would buy again if I had to.

I tried one as soon as they arrived and immediately agreed with a previous review that they were too large for many domestic cover plates. However, I later tried the second handle and it did fit. The 'D' on one handle is 27mm wide and the other it's 31mm. The slots in my covers vary from 27 - 32mm. The handles appear to be cast and are very similar in dimensions except for the D. This area appears to be cast oversize and relies on some fettling to reduce it to final shape and size. In my case the result was two very differently sized Ds. The thickness of the Ds are 7.5mm and 8mm and the faces appear to be as cast. This is narrow enough to fit in all my cover slots. This means that even where the D is too wide to slot in properly, it will go in sufficiently to hook underneath the surface and allow you to pull the cover up.

These are so handy, can easily lift the manhole in my garden to unblock the drain with a hose! Saves me a fortune!

Rather crude and only just fit some covers. Adequate - may be improved if I tidy the ends with a file. I suppose you get what you pay for, although that is not always the case.
