This is a very well made 1U rack shelf. All required fittings were supplied, and it integrates well with the StarTech adjustable depth 42U 4 post open frame rack which I also bought. Just what I needed and easy to fit.

伸縮式棚板 を購入しました 19インチラックのケージナットと固定用のネジもついていて 良い製品だと思いますが ネジがM６なのでご注意 (自分は前に使っていた機器のケージナットと交換しなきゃいけなかった) 前左・前右(この2つは奥行きの短い金具) 後左・後右の4つの金具と 棚板で構成されていて各金具を棚板にねじ止めする ネジは、プラス頭のボルトとナットでねじ止めでほかの人も書いてますが ねじ止めがしづらいですが 自分の環境の場合、奥行きが長いラックでしたので 前の金具2つをしっかり締めてから 後ろの方は金具が長いので そちらを後にするとネジ締めし易かったです。 製品自体重いですが、棚板の強度はその分文句なしです

I bought this for a 24" deep server rack, to hold a Sony VGP-XL1B 200-disc changer, which weighs about 38 pounds empty and has a huge footprint, at 17" wide, 21" deep, and over 7" tall. This was the most affordable option with a high enough weight capacity to be certain the changer will be secure and stable when full of 200 discs. It was easy enough to install, although the side posts of my rack got in the way, and it took a little finangling. We ended up installing the front brackets in the rack and the rear brackets on the shelf. Sliding the shelf into the front brackets allowed us to ensure everything lined up for screwdriver access through the square holes on the side posts. This shelf is a bit deeper than the rack, but this works out pretty well, since it leaves space in front of the changer for placing CD and DVD cases while loading. I'm happy with my purchase. I wish it were a bit cheaper, but I also understand that a solid shelf like this uses more raw materials and costs more to ship, so I think the price is probably fair enough.

This shelf is built to last! No flimsy materials here whatsoever - everything is made of very heavy duty steel and is very durable. Unfortunately, the given dimensions for this particular shelf are confusion, and perhaps misleading - for example; The description describes the shelf as: adjustable, from 19.5 to 38in However, and while the shelf can technically be installed at a 19" depth (with brackets), the shelf itself, is not actually 19 inches, but rather, it is 27 inches deep - and cannot be adjusted - meaning, it will stick-out of the rack by 8 inches And so, in this way, the product description proves to be confusion, and perhaps even misleading for buyers, and in cases where a server rack is not adjustable.

funktioniert sehr gut und trägt was und wie es soll und muss. klasse ist die Flexibilität damit kann man es auf die Befestigung im Schrank sehr gut anpassen. etwas Handwerkliches Geschick vorausgesetzt.

The product itself is well built and does the job. However, the installation is so terrible that I am leaving a one star review out of frustration. I'm using the Startech rack shelf with a Startech rack. The screws on the side are not recessed, so the shelf cannot be installed horizontally, have to install it an an angle which may not be possible due to other equipment above. Product could have easily been designed for simpler installation. Also, nuts for the screws on the side require pliers to be held in place, meaning the shelf cannot be installed if anything is underneath the shelf or near the rack's bottom. Uninstallable if space above is obstructed, uninstallable if space below is obstructed, uninstallable if rack is unaccessible from the sides. Poorly designed product. Edit: I ended up installing the shelf successfully by emptying my rack and flipping the rack onto its back. The shelf itself is solid. Just beware that the shelf can only be installed if you work around its installation design flaws.
