Algebra for Beginners

Ordered this book to introduce algebra to my 6th grade class. They love the format of each activity page with a good example at the top of each page. The increase difficulty is easy to follow. My class love this!

This is a wonderful workbook I am studying for my ged it take you step by step helping you to understand how algebra works, the answers are in the back but they also show you step by step how to solve each problem which helps to figure out what your doing wrong. I have recommended this book to all my classmates and will give it to my granddaughter for her classes next year. What a great investment.

Just finished this book with my 8 year old. Took 1.5 years doing about 30 problems a week (30 min each Sat/Sun). Perfectly done book, only wish answer spaces for algebra were lined; I had to line them myself. Material was perfectly prepared and ordered. Wish there was a trigonometry book or precalc. Thank you so much!

Small font makes it hard for me to grade but I do like the single sheet-per-day format Each page includes the directions with sample problems on the top, which is concise. The kids shouldn't give me any excuses about not knowing how to work the problems. My son loves algebra and completed 3 pages as soon as he received the book. Answers (in tiny font) in the back.

I bought this to work with a 12-year-old starting pre-algebra in 7th grade. The lessons progress from the simple to the complex, and build upon what was taught in previous lessons. Since I work with students who struggle with algebra, I love the progression of concepts. Explanations are concrete (to me...I fill in if the student is still struggling to grasp the lesson); the vocabulary of algebra is explained as you go along. Wish I'd had all summer to work on this with him!

I have to tell you that I bought this because I entered into college for criminal Justice and thought that I needed to do algebra. I did not when I tested. I did not need to do math at all however we did in the testing, but I qualified high enough that I didn't need to do algebra or any other math they wanna know what the end of this how old you are I am 72 and in College this book was excellent for any child entering into algebra very resourceful. This book is easy to understand for me.

School doesn't seem to explain math to students that doesn't understand it. So this helps explain how to do algebra. It has already helped him.

Exercises are all great, they teach a lot and prepare for more difficult calculations. The price is insanely low for what you get.

I was struggling with math 10 and got this book. It has helped me by taking me back to the early stages of algebra and step by step moving me up. I tried other books like grade 9 math to brush up my skills but it did not work.
