High quality and nostalgic controller 👌
Been putting off buying one of these for a while, this is my first 8bitdo product and I'm definitely buying more from them. This controller shocked me with how sturdy and high quality it feels. Buttons are dare I say; AN IMPROVEMENT to the original SNES? The analog sticks feel incredible too, all around the Buttons are so satisfying to press. Shoulder Buttons are solid and well made. Controller is plug and play out of the box for PC (windows) and works with Retroarch with no issues.

Nostalgia but better
I grew up playing snes, and when trying to play classic nes and snes on switch, normal pro style controllers and joycons just didn't feel right or move as snappy. So I decided to try this out, I was very happy. The quality of an snes controller with the function of all the new controllers. Brought me back and worked perfectly in every way. Plus I can play regular switch games with it, in addition to mobile and pc games, very worth it 👌

Works on Windows & Switch that I have been able to test.
Turbo works just fine on the PC; but not on the Switch. The button that does turbo when using the PC (which is the star button in the lower left) just takes pictures on the Switch. What I like about this controller outside of the shape is that when you set a button to turbo on the PC there is a light that flashes in the lower right of the controller while pressing that button. This is a nice way to tell if you have turbo currently set for a particular button. I have other controllers that have no indicator if turbo is currently set for a button which leaves you to guess/remember if you have a button in turbo mode. Other than what I have mentioned the controller is pretty standard for a controller and I would buy it again if needed. Would recommend getting some kind of joystick grips/caps because the joysticks are too smooth/slick for my taste.

I bought the Emerald and Purple version
The emerald is by far the best color yet. The purple is better than the Pro 2 purple, and is little darker and less opaque. Also odd that the use of GOLD INK on it just takes both controllers to a whole new level. On the Pro 2, those parts would just be glossy against the matte. As for the controller itself. As good as always, though I wished the SN30 Pro 2 adopted the Pro 2's toggle switch feature of selecting the input method, instead of the button combo method. Maybe Gen 3. Other than that, it's a great size for medium and smaller hands, has all the features you could want and works well. I recommend the green over the purple, but the new purple injection they're using is far better than the weird Pro 2 clear purple.

Pretty nice controller for fans of early '90s games
I'd been putting off buying one of these for a while, but the N64-esque translucent green plus hall effect joysticks were enough for me to finally pull the trigger. It helped that I had gift card money and the tariffs scared me into grabbing this before it was too late, too. I realized I'd be unhappy never getting one if it came down to that. Connecting was simpler than expected and the instructions to switch from d-input to x-input are written on the back of the controller itself, which is very neat. X-input is better for Steam/PC and proper haptic feedback, but is limited to only four (4) controllers total, with the controller's assignment number lit up in green on the bottom of the controller like you'd expect from a modern Xbox or PlayStation controller. The buttons certainly feel like SNES buttons, though the four action buttons actually feel more solid and springier which is really, really nice. I never quite liked the feeling of a worn SNES controller's action buttons feeling thin and relatively action-less, so be prepared for a surprise there if you can relate with the worn feeling. The d-pad feels *exactly* the same as an SNES pad to me, so much so that I don't really even notice it, so props to 8BitDo on that. Most d-pads on modern controllers feel really awkward, like they're made only for menu selections, so it's a nice surprise to not have worries about the d-pad in the back of my mind while I'm trying to game. In some ways, this controller just disappears as you play, and I think that's a good thing if it's allowing you to immerse into the game itself instead of worrying about a controller being finicky. The only real surprise are the four L/R buttons, which really shouldn't be pressed with four fingers like you can on a larger controller. Here, the top ones stick out like you'd expect from an SNES controller, and the lower ones are really just there for compatibility more than anything. They are not pressure sensitive like GameCube and others, so that's something to be aware of, but they can read as a binary axis or as normal buttons depending on the connection mode you've set. I suspect for the few games where that could be a bummer there's some way you could set up a time delay in Steam to make it playable still perhaps. But GameCube and up really aren't the focus of this controller anyway. Anything from the '90s should be perfectly playable with this, with the joysticks perfectly positioned to make PlayStation fans feel at home as well. I'm pretty happy with the controller overall. It combines the compatibility of an Xbox controller with the nostalgia of the SNES layout, with a little PlayStation aesthetic mixed in for good measure. If you're looking for a licensed game to test this out with, I'm enjoying Axiom Verge paired with this controller.

Little Beast
One of the best aftermarket controllers I've ever used. Super compact and perfect for on the go gaming

cheapish. worth getting the Nintendo certified.
This controller is kind of difficult to synce to the switch for the first tome and any time after that.....It works great but feels and looks cheap

WORKS with Nintendo Switch
Surprised that it works with the switch without any problem and you don't need an adapter to connect.
