2010 Lexus IS250C: Wanted to clean up and shorten the USB cable going to my vent mounted iPhone mount and charger. The USB cable previously was running from a cigarette lighter USB adapter in my center console which was a 3 foot cable and was always in the way and simply looked messy. I had an empty/blank to the left of the steering wheel so ordered two (2) different USB port adapters even though I only needed one. I kept this one which has two (2) USB-A ports. The other one was the one with one (1) USB-A and one (1) USB-C and a digital readout. The one I kept looked closer to stock once I had both of them in my hands. It was also about twice as long (on the backside) which I was a little worried it might hit something but it was fine. Overall this one just looked better made. I literally just installed it this morning so time will tell if it holds up. It looks great! Looking at 90° USB cables on Amazon to clean it up even better.

I have purchased two of these, for two different vehicles. The first one finally has failed now after 2 years of what I would call "medium usage". They are not a very good fit for the Tundra knockouts, they are too tight and once installed, pretty much impossible to remove again without destroying them. After installing the second one, the USB ports sunk into the plastic housing making it impossible to use. I was able to "fix" the problem by pushing them back from the back of the device (had to remove the dash panel again), and squeezing epoxy into the crevices to keep the cheap plastic casing from popping apart. After 2 years, the first one popped the 2A fuse. After popping the fuse again, I replaced the fuse with a 3A fuse to see if that would work better and while it worked for a few minutes, it eventually popped and smoked itself. I tested the wiring and it was correct voltage so the unit itself decided to go bad for no apparent reason. One of my main complaints is the embedded LED lights - I hate them. I may purchase another one of these to replace the one that popped and open it up to snip the LEDs out before installing it again.

Purchased this to use in my 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Wanted the USB Port charger to fit in the center, under the A/C controls and next to the USB/Aux port for my entune head unit. There is another version that will fit on the left side of the steering wheel. This charger fit the space exactly. I made sure to hook it up to the IGN1 fuse using a fuse-tap (ARTGEAR 12V 24V Low Profile Add-a-Circuit Fuse Tap, ACS Miniature Piggy Back Blade Fuse Holder with Wire Harness, 6 pcs Fuse (3A 5A 7.5A 10A 15A 20A) and Fuse Puller (Pack of 4)) so it would only charge when the ignition was on. This way the LED lights won't drain the car battery. The installation was simple, it was just difficult to route the wires under the dash (avoiding the parking brake and steering column) so it was out of site. I did add some wire so the in-line fuse would be accessible if it ever needs replacing. There have been complaints about the brightness of the LEDs but as you can see in the pictures, I keep a flashlight (KENO Rechargeable LED Flashlight with 12/24V Car Cigarette Lighter Charge, 300Lumen Outdoor Vehicles Survival Tool) plugged in that sheds light as well. I did confirm that using the USB 3.0 port did trigger the "Turbo Charge" feature of my phone. The other USB port charged at the regular slower rate. I highly recommed the Cllena Dual USB Port Charger Socket Quick Charge 3.0 & 2.4A for Toyota as a USB charging port. I look forward to getting a lot of use from it.

Bought this based on all the glowing reviews. Was glad to see that it looks like it could pass for a factory port. Replaced the AUX socket located just forward of the elbow console. Direct drop into the socket with a snug fit. Everything looked great until I tried to plug a USB into the 3.0 slot. It took the might of God to wrestle it into the slot. The 2.4 slot didn't have any issues, only the QC3.0 slot. Ordered a replacement to see if it's any better. IF the replacement is better off, i'll happily update this to 5 stars. As it sits though, this is quite annoying and almost unusable. No more than 2 stars as it sits now. Will update once the new one arrives. EDIT - 3/29/19 The replacement item was MUCH better than the first one I received. It still seemed tighter than you would want but was acceptable. A heads-up to other 2006-2012 RAV4 owners planning to put this where the old AUX slot was located (next to mirror adjusters) - it DOES fit in the opening but it is EXTREMELY tight. While it does work, its such a tight opening that it does apply extra pressure to the USB port slot, and if it's already extremely tight before pushing the socket into the slot, the actual USB port will now be even tighter. The quick charging does work, and quite well I might add. Will make you wonder why you used that old 12V USB adaptor for so long all these years!
