Versatile mount for cameras or phones
I bought this for my wife to create content for her social media. We attached a phone mount and she was set. The jaws open wide enough for her to attach it to our granite counters, her desk, shelving, and her lighting rigs. Basically, she can create content wherever she likes, and the solid design means no wobbling while creating video. The ball joints are a great design feature for precise placement, and the telescoping arm helps when you need additional reach. Excellent product.

Another great item from IFootage
Similar to their magic arm clamps, the support rod works great. The clamp is excellent, but it can be removed if needed and replaced with their 1/4 & 3/8 screw connectors. I got this primarily to support a slider on a tripod, but I’ve already found other great uses like supporting a little zoom recorder and keeping it close to my tripod, but not on the camera. The clamp attaches very firmly. The length is easy to adjust as our the joints. Definitely recommend if you’ve got a need for a device like this.

Ifootage did it again!
I really like their gear. I use it to get a mic closer to me (out of frame) and it worked as expected. Would recommend for basic purposes 👍

Super Useful
Use it to boom a mic, support a camera, add stability for a slider, and more. Price is expensive because the quality is superb.

Really love the engineering in IFOOTAGE tools, very solid!
I have gotten several things from IFOOTAGE and all of them are very solid and worth the extra price you pay. The products all show they were engineered by people who know what they are doing when it comes to shooting video and have every little detail covered. This support arm telescopes out to 32 inches and has a ball-head on each end. They also provide a large clamp you can use on one end of the arm if you like. The arm is very light weight considering how stiff it is, it doesn't flex at all! Once you lock down the telescoping and ball heads, they aren't going to move. Everything locks together with strong lever locks and the quick releases on each end also have a second safety lock on them. Also the ends have anti-rotation pins to prevent whatever you have attached from turning once they are locked down. Even the tripod mounts are clever dual-use 3/8 and 1/4. There is a spring loaded sleeve with 3/8 threads around a 1/4 inch one. For use with 1/4 inch you just start screwing it in and the 3/8 sleeve will just slip out of the way! This is great because you can use either size mounting screw and you don't have to carry (and loose) adapters, it's all built in and permanently attached. All of this makes the IFOOTAGE gear much quicker to setup and keeps your equipment safe. All the included stuff fits IFOOTAGE's "spider crab" line which includes magic arms. The clamps, quick releases and other stuff is all interchangeable. So far the only downside I've found to this is that the clamp is made for clamping to poles/tubes, it's not designed for clamping to the edge of a desk, so keep that in mind. What can you use this for? First off, if you want to attach something to a pole and have it be very positionable out to 32 inches, this is great. This could be a camera, microphone, light, just about anything. If you clamp one end to the leg of your tripod, you can attach the other end to a slider to steady it, or you could use it to hold a mini-monitor. If you have several of these, they can be used to attach cameras to moving vehicles, there is a photo of this use in the product listing. If the vehicle has a roll cage you could clamp one or more of these to it to provide a solid camera mount. You could also clamp it to the metal posts of a car headrest to support a camera. Overall I think it's a very useful tool, don't balk at the price, when you get your hands on this you'll realize how sturdy, useful and well made it is, a great filming tool.

Incredibly Versatile
The iFootage camera support arm is one of those items that you didn't know you needed until you get one... then suddenly you realize that you can use 10 more of them! While it is called a "Camera Support" in truth it can be used for anything... from monitors to lights, to microphones, to actual cameras. Notes- - Great construction means that it is very sturdy in holding your equipment. It can hold your equipment without slipping. Whether you have it attached to the leg of a tripod, the roll cage of a dune buggy, or attached to a light stand - it works great. - It is very versatile - not only does the arm extend but it also pivot to nearly any direction. - Two thread sizes for mounting to cameras (with aligning tabs), microphones, and other equipment. It has an innovative design where the smaller screw size fits inside the larger one. You simply push down and align to whichever screw size you need. - Rated for 7kg, but that does change based on how far you have the arm extended. - Quick release tabs work great - flip the open and extend the pole and then close it to lock in place. Final Verdict - While the iFootage camera support arm isn't inexpensive it is incredibly versatile to the point that you will wish that you had 10 of them (just like me!).

Another outstanding iFootage product
The images in the Amazon listing are very accurate so I didn't feel the need to add any of my own. Appearance wise, this arm looks so professional and high quality as do most iFootage products I currently own. As far as magic arms go I don't think it gets any better and iFootage. The stability of the arm is just top notch. I would have no hesitation putting an expensive piece of gear out at the end of the arm. All of the clips and knobs are so incredibly sturdy that you can really crank down on them to make everything incredibly stable. Also keep in mind this thing is really long at just under 3 feet. This isn't something you will likely be attaching to your camera cage. More likely you'll attach it to your tripod or some other such support device. Price is certainly high but the quality is there. Might be a bit more acceptable at $99.
