CME MIDI Thru5 WC - 5-Channel MIDI Interface with High-Speed Thru and Splitter Function

Bought this 1-in 5-out midi thru box because it's the best value I can find and the other reviews helped a lot as well, thanks everybody :) I've been avoiding buying one, but the instrument-chaining finally became too big an ask due to my Gear Acquisition Syndrome. I've only had it 2 days but it's doing a fine job of sending midi thru to all five channels without any issues. It's just a plastic box with 6 holes in, no great piece of fancy engineering, but it seems solid enough and the connectors all fit spot on. Had a look at the other two products that are available for chaining to this device but I don't fancy them much, so can't speak of the extra connectivity that's available, but the cheapness is reflected in the 'hobbyist engineering' that you need to do to enable that lark. (I didn't mind building a Dreadbox Nyx Reissue, but that's a different game hah!) Conclusion: I think about all the faffing around that I accepted as part of life before thru-box, and now I feel free. Given a full five stars - how can I not? I am free!

Works perfectly, small size helps keep it hidden away. Note: requires usb c power, included cable is short, so purchasing a longer cable might be helpful if you have a large distance between your usb hub and audio equipment. Will be purchasing another, much more success with this device than the Erica synths equivalent which is significantly more expensive

Good value, does a great job

I have two of these and I use them for fan-out of “notes-only” modules (not clock).MIDI clock is real-time and sensitive to congestion. If you send clock + lots of notes/CC on the same port to multiple devices, timing gets worse. Don’t merge lots of stuff that need clock onto one MIDI output. Clock + dense notes + CC automation + multiple devices on one port = timing suffers.

1in、5outのMIDIスルーボックスです。これまでは別会社のパッシブ（電源不要）の製品を使って来ましたが、ライブを行うにあたり少し不安が生じたので、USBによる電源供給が必要なこの製品を購入して使いました。特に問題なく使用出来ています。CMEは信頼出来るメーカーのようです。
