Howdens Lamona Fan Oven/Cooker Heater Element (1800W)

Very good. Does what it says on the tin. Easy to fit if you have electrical knowledge. Saved me hundreds of pounds fitting it myself instead of paying an electrician. Good value

I bought two of these elements as I have two Lamona LAM3400 ovens from Howdens. Rather upsettingly, the element in each oven went within a day of each other. I expected from that point to be paying through the nose for some "engineer" to come round to fit new ones. But with a bit of "Googling" I found this listing and a YouTube video that seemed to indicate that fitting them yourself is pretty easy. The elements arrived bang on time (thanks guys) and I proceeded to fit them the following weekend. Unfortunately they're not quite as easy to fit as the video made out, but this is ENTIRELY the fault of the oven design and definitely not because of the elements. Long story short, you have to remove the cover over the elements to unfasten two screws inside the oven itself. The you have to remove the back of the oven, and yes that does mean removing the oven completely from where it is installed, to access the two remaining screws. If Lamona had the sense to fit all four screws from the inside of the oven, then changing the elements could've been a five minute job (literally). BUT! The elements have been fitted for a good few months now, and work brilliantly. So great replacement at a great price.

The heating element stopped working in our Lamona fan oven and, having looked at videos to see if we could do it ourself, we ordered this part. It was cheaper than we imagined it would be and was so easy to fit. Within 20 minutes, we had replaced the old element and installed this one and the oven has worked perfectly since. Would definitely buy again.

My oven is HJA 4620. You have to go in from the rear of the oven to remove the screws that secure the element to the the carcass of the oven. To get to the screws you have to 1. Take the oven out of its housing in your kitchen setup 2. Remove the back of the oven 3. Excavate through the oven insulation to locate the screw heads undo and remove defunct element and replace with new one. I had to engage a domestic appliance repair man to complete my job because I have a back problem and just couldn't physically manage the heavy work. If you are fit then you should be able to manage it ok. Good luck. The element is an industry standard replacement so not specifically made for Lamona.
