Good product which gives good coverage - approximately 12lts covers around 80 square meters coverage. Unused product stores well so long as the tin is sealed properly after use. Make sure you stir well before and during use to get an even finish. I found it easiest to apply using a foam roller, giving a generous coat. Make sure roof surface is as clean as possible, I.E - light jet wash first to remove dust, moss etc then allow to dry before applying the paint. Reflects heat well, roof membrane significantly cooler one painted. As I have used this product before, I find a re coat is worth doing every 2 to 3 years to keep reflective properties at their best, as the silver reflective does will deplete over time leaving a dull silver/grey colour. Unfortunately, this product has doubled in price since I last bought…..

great paint
I used this solar reflective paint to cover some bitumen paint which I bought from the same seller. The area I was covering was a large flat roof extension which I had already applied bitument paint to. This aluminium paint once mixed was easy to apply (with a roller in my case) and covered very well. The paint itself goes a long way even with 2 coats I only used about 10 litres out of the 25 purchased however given the price this still represents value for money, Especially when you take into account the costs for a 5l tin in all the well known DIY stores. Hopefully if I store it correctly I should be able to repaint it every year for the next couple of years. I would highly recommend this product

Good value for money
Mine needed two coats as paint is a little thin but good value for money

OK
Messy but brilliant and can be dazzling when appling in the sun. Suggest you cover yourself with old clothes and shoes as you will turn out looking like a Cyberman. Rollers are the easiest way to apply but suggest had painting on the perimeter to avoid turning passers bye and everying else below the roof aluminium coated. Yet to see how durable it is

Does a great job
I have used many many types of solar paint but without doubt this is one of the best and easiest to use. No sludge in the bottom of the drum so needed minimal stirring, great coverage.

bought a few over the years
Another Barrel -- works well for 2- 4 years easily if you do it yourself - DIY

Great stuff, goes a long way
Great stuff, goes a long way. 2 points to the uninitiated (like me) 1/ when you open it the colour is pitch-black, 2/ when you stir it it becomes gold and stays that colour. 3/ when you paint it it starts off gold but quickly changes to silver. Oh don't be tempted to paint everything you see, people get upset if everything in the garden is silver and the birds don't like it.
