Amazon Basics Controller Charging Station

Works beautifully. It is much easier to keep charged controllers in circulation during long gaming sessions and when the wife and I decide to play co-op. The complaints of it being difficult to dock and un-dock have some merit, but once you get used to it you can easily place the controller and remove it. In fact I have moved mine to a space behind my tv that you can reach with only one hand and can still place and remove controllers without difficulty. I highly recommend this dock.

This was the SECOND charging device I bought from Amazon. I won't mention the first one I purchased, but it is alleged to serve two purposes, (1) a stand for the PS4 and (2) a device for recharging two controllers. That product quit working after 5 weeks. THIS device has worked flawlessly. The red/green charging lights are useful, and the controllers EASILY fit properly into the recharge slots. If you have two, or more controllers that you recharge constantly, then this is the product for you. I gave it FIVE STARS! Oh...and it costs LESS than that first device.

This works really well and stands up to the "10 year old test" with flying colors. (As well, it has an awesome unpublished secondary benefit of keeping the remotes from being left on the floor or couch all the time!). It is small enough that I can get two of them (4 controllers) into the shelving units and it looks nice and tidy with wires going straight back and not visible. Seems to charge quickly and since it is so convenient and easy to use I've never had a dead controller since I put these stations in. Great deal I highly recommend.

Pros: - One of the few well built, pro controller only docks out there. - LED isn't freaking blinding/blue Cons: - No way to easily align controller, and will probably scratch the port area as you "fish" for a connection. - Cord is super short and not removable. Plan to get a good quality A male to A female extension cable if you need a longer run. Other / Simple hack: - I got the idea from enterprise laptop docks to add markings to assist with alignment. One manufacturer has a little dash on the dock and laptop that you line up and something similar dramatically increases the chances of a successful dock on the first try. - I used colored electrical tape to designate the locations of the + and - buttons since the switch logo is hard so see and I didn't want to attach anything or mark on the controller. - If you have she SSB version, the Smash logo makes it REALLY easy since you can add a marking to line up the black space in the middle. - One may also try a paint pen on the dock itself to write/draw markings rather than cutting tape. Ideas/Suggestions to Amazon: - REMOVABLE CABLE PLEASE!! Type C and Micro Usb cables make it dramatically more flexible especially since the attached cable is way too short for any sane use. - If possible use a NON LATCHING type C port like the switch dock uses to reduce force needed to dock and undock. - Possibly add a spring loaded strain relief around port like other controller docks (at least for PS4) and the original switch dock. - Add a notch to the dock and a small, unobtrusive alignment nib that can be adhered to the underside or front (port side) of controller. - Add printed +/- indicators like I have created and maybe a few clear film adhesives with alignment markers that can be adjusted as needed by adhering one on controller and one on dock or several on dock making use of markings on the controller.

I bought this for my son to use with his PS4 and charge his two Dualshock controllers. It works exactly as expected. I'm not sure what else to say about it -- you put two controllers on and they charge. My son initially had some trouble seating the controllers properly so they would charge, but the lights let you know when the controllers are charging, and my son eventually became adept at seating the controllers properly. Not only do the controllers charge well, but I like that the controllers wind up on the charger so they're easy to find and don't wind up getting lost or stepped on (or eaten by a dog).

After 3 months the stand has worked well and it looks pretty cool. Keep in mind it’s fast charging so the stand is using more power than recommended by Sony. This means your controller’s batteries will wear out sooner than normal. I recommend using the consoles built in USB ports to charge the controllers, I use this stand because my USB ports are occupied by an external hard drive (so worth the money) and a wireless headset adapter (Bluetooth headphones don’t pair directly with a PS4). Also it’s very easy to snap the controllers in and out of the stand.

I ordered this charging station because I have 4 controllers and 2 that won't charge on normal micro USB cables because of their age. The only way I could get them to charge was to wrap a rubber band around the cable, or place them in a specific position and hope nobody would breathe around them causing them to move a micron and lose power. Because of the way these plug in upside down it forces the troubled controllers into a position that works perfectly for their damaged micro USB connection. I have had no issues with any of the 4 controllers that I own and they each charge quickly. I couldn't ask for this station to work any better.

Does the job well, easy to plug in, LEDs are bright. I like that it holds the controllers snug and it's small and blends in with pretty much any set up.

As usual, Amazon Basics lived up to it's quality and engineering. The controllers fit perfectly as a duo when slotted in. There's no loose contact with the chargers. You place them down and click in slightly and it fits. No weird issues with the controllers after charging so that probably rules out any voltage or charging issues. It's simple, effective. I can even prop up a third controller as a "stand" when two other controllers are charging. So I put my Xbox One controller on top of my 2 DS4 controllers. Makes a good showpiece as well. All in all, great quality. Looks simple and elegant. Great value for money.

Muy buen producto sino quieres dejar el control con el cable cargando, para evitar accidentes, o simplemente se haya extraviado el cable de carga. Es una buena opción.
