Castrol Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle Automatic Transmission Fluid, 1 Quart

I heard good things from other g35x owners about this fluid, as it's compatible as Transmission, transfer case, and even power steering fluid. Nissan recommends matic J for transmission, matic S for transfer case, and dexron 3 for power steering. The compatibility of this fluid matches the criteria for all 3. A great budget option! The transmission shifts smooth as well as the transfer case. I notice nothing while it switches from 50/50 AWD to RWD and all between depending on speed, slip, and how hard I accelerate. Good fluid is a must, and this does the job! I can't comment on the power steering as doing a fluid flush didn't fix my issue, confirming I'll need a new PS pump. I'll run this in it once I replace that pump and I doubt I'll have another issue with it.

Castrol Transmax is good.

Used this as a lower cost substitute for the Honda name brand fluid. Transmission shifts as smooth as it did with the Honda brand so no complaints

Despite what many people said, the Castrol chemists know what they’re talking about. Until 2012 Honda made all transmissions in house and didn’t use planetary gears which was why they always had transmission issues. My fluid was past due and I used this and it worked as good or possibly even better than the OEM fluid. I have put over 20,000 since using it to fill the last time after repeat fill drains to clean it out.

I've been using this in my 2006 Honda Element since the warranty ran out. Works great, and I've just found that you can buy this on Amazon.ca, saving me the trip to Canadian Tire.
