Zyxel N300 Wireless Range Extender / Repeater - Wallmount [WRE2206]

Our Zyxel router, from KCOM, on the east side of our property is excellent, but the signal coverage is weak across the west side; the MacBook & Chromebook could/can find it, but more recent devices - iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone not. This is due to some 4 concrete/brick walls. Would this baby do the trick? Due to it's plug/pin arrangement it needed an extension block on the power point in the entrance hall to clear the wall. Alleluia - it worked first time. No problems. The instruction leaflet was adequate, but of course I had an inkling of how to "plumb it in" due to the existing Zyxel router. Very satisfied.

Did not connect immediately had to reset Zyxel router provided by John Lewis and reset against the booster, chose Zyxel to make sure of compatibility

Seems to work well and has got rid of the dead spots in the house. Set up should be simple enough but the LED's are confusing and there is no real feed back as to when repeater and the router have successfully connected. Be aware that it does not matter whether you press the WPS button on the repeater first or the modem first.

I read a lot of reviews before I bought this. The instructions leave out about where to put the thing, near the router or near the cold spot? Anyway, I tried both and in between in my garage, in the hall, by where |I need the wifi and by the router. It did get a connection in the end, the best place was next to the telly I was trying to get on my WiFi (Amazon Fire stick actually). The connection on the settings for the Fire stick said it was weak, poor or intermittent at best. It didn't connect at all at worst. The Extender is virtually impossible to understand what the settings are, the dial at the front is supposed to say it is connected (glows blue at the top), there is a section for the wifi, this never changed colour, no matter where I put it and the same on the right.After trying all over my house, close, far anywhere, which DOESN'T have thick walls and is the normal 2 stories, I sent it back.The return should be OK as we have Amazon Prime.

Excellent easy set up although my router isZyxel. The bt one I bought would not connect so took it back

Not as good as I would like - doesn't really boost as much as expected.

I wanted to extend my wifi to my summerhouse in the garden. It works perfectly, I would certainly recommend this product. I would just like to add that I choose this brand because it's the same make as my router

This was really easy to set up, taking less than 5 minutes using WPS. It has done a great job of extending the signal into the far end of the house witbout any need for updates to any of the connecting equipment. Highly reccomended.
