TL:DR I highly recommend these filters, only difference is these are 2 stage filters, NOT 3 stage as advertised. There is no mesh screen pre-filter built-in to each filter like the OEM filters have. When I purchased this filter for my MA-112 unit, I had hoped this would be a great alternative to OEM filters that are double the price of these and they're definitely worth the money. I've given it 4 stars instead of 5 because of 1 flaw. First these filters are the same as OEM in every way except 2 things: 1) There's no manufacturer labling on the housing (I know this means nothing realistically but worth mentioning if you're picky about differences before purchasing) 2) These filters are actually only 2 stage, NOT 3 stage like the OEM filters are. There is no mesh screen built into the filter like the OEM filters. The listing claims these are 3 stage filters but again..they are not. These filters only have the HEPA filter followed by the charcoal filter. Now for me, this is fine because the unit itself has a mesh screen pre-filter built into the "doors" of the unit that I can pop out and wash as needed, so the filters not also having a mesh screen attached doesn't change how I feel about the performance of these filters. The weight feels identical, and every single other aspect of these after market filters looks the same as the OEM filters. When I also consider that these are literally half the price of the OEM filters, I don't mind that the mesh screen isn't actually there as advertised. Although the listing should definitely be corrected because it is misleading. The housing is the exact same, the style of the charcoal filter on the back is the exact same. Overall though, I highly recommend these filters. I have severe allergies and spring time is a nightmare for me, these new filters have filtered the air in my house just as well as the OEM brand would have done. I don't even notice that it's spring until I go back outside and mother nature reminds me why I have to take allergy meds.

I purchased the purifier years ago, and been using the filter for years. They have to be changed every 5 months, as long as you do that and clean the inside filter that snaps out with water and let it dry, the purifier will last longer. Don’t forget to change filters every 5 months very important.

The price is right; suits the purpose; readily available from several vendors. To be safe you might want to up the quality of your furnace filters because Merv 13 furnace filters work as well as the hospital grade air filters for the entire house; and you won't need to run the air filters when the heating and cooling system is working. Just be sure your heating and cooling system is new and strong enough for the compressor at Merv 13.
