Too Big for Small Hands
This is a great activity/game with several options for ways to play. The colors are bright and fun. The only downside is that the grabbers seem to be made for older kids’ or even adults’ hands. My almost-3-year-old can’t really use them correctly because their hand can’t fit around the back of the grabbers and into the finger holes. It seems like it’ll probably be 6 months to a year or more before my toddler can use the grabbers. We resorted to using some kitchen tongs we have for other fine motor activities so we can still play. I do like that one grabber focuses on opening and the other focuses on closing.

Soooo Fun for Kiddos
I’m a special education teacher and love using these with my kiddos with fine motor goals. Strengthen those fingers to help with their writing skills. They love using these monsters to sort the other monsters into their bins. So much good stuff you can work on: counting, sorting, colors, turn taking, sharing, same/different, more/less, language building, fine motor, OT, following directions… Highly recommend!

Great game with multiple ways to play
Love this for my preschoolers of differing abilities. I can adapt this to be difficult or much more simple. The booklet included even made it easier to type up my lesson plan with great ideas. One monster was difficult to grip so I cut up a tripod grasp pencil grip I had and glued the 3 finger holds into the correct places for the students' fingers which worked well

Minor adjustments maybe…?
The space for the fingers is too wide for some kiddos. When making the “opening” movement it slides off their fingers before they have a chance to pinch/clasp down to retrieve the small items. As a therapist working on fine motor skills teaching pinch and release, it’s the releasing (opening movement) that is usually the harder one for some to perform. If the finger space had some kind of grip material or were smaller in circumference, it would be more beneficial for those still building strength. But I do think this product is an awesome idea and can be really enjoyable for some.

ALL TIME BIGGEST FAN!
Where to even start! As a Kindergarten teacher I am all about fine motor/gross motor building, while still learning. Learning through PLAY! That is what HAND2MIND is all about and I could not be happier. I am a BIG fan and more then 50% of my classroom has hand2mind products. This game is a great fine motor activity that keeps my students engaged in learning. From letter work, writing, reading, and of course math; I am seeing BIG learning jumps. My students just think they are playing but they are also taking on their own independent learning. I can go on and on about why every teacher should have hand2mind in their classroom. Especially the fine motor aspect because that's my bread and butter. I am so happy I found hand2mind and that every product is feeling needs of young learners through the power of play.
