I appreciate the combination of activities in this workbook. Every lesson has a story to read, followed by different activities to test retention, spelling, grammar, etc. I like that the activities vary from lesson to lesson so my son doesn't get bored and he gets to practice a variety of skills.

This was a great addition to use in small groups because it has a mix of things for students to read think about and do. Such as vocabulary comprehension sequencing. Too easy for a high group at end of year but still fun and the kids liked the stories.

Stories are appropriate length for the age and the questions make my son think about the context.

Great practice for reading skills! I would say the reading level is more towards the begining of second grade. I use it for tutoring and the kids seems to like the stories

If the activities are done the child will definitely be ready for grade 2.
