Inception [4K Ultra-HD] [2010] [Blu-ray] [2017]

Inception is one of the best films ever made and its release is a stunning on 4K - no surprises here. Sound is excellent and very heavy - like all Christopher Nolan films. A must own for fans of great films.

First i realise this is adding to the already hundreds of reviews, but hey. If the mark of a great film is one you go back and watch over and over again and still come away with something new each time then this is a great film. There is so much to think about, so much to enjoy, so much to question. The film satisfies on so many levels. I love that i can see influences from other great films such as the better James Bond films, Mission Impossible and The Matrix. The first time i watched it i found the score repetitive and boring. By the fourth watch i was thoroughly enjoying the way it adds and builds with the story. By the sixth i had bought the score! (It is that kind of film). The performances are first rate, the story pulls you in, the action is superb and the film builds beautifully from start to finish. Terrific.

This is a truly amazing film, a testimony to the wonders of CGI, in which cities rise and fall and cliff faces crash, in dreams within dreams within dreams, Here, dreams are the business of conman Leonardo DiCaprio, who uses them to plant ideas in the minds of opponents of his clientele, mega-rich, multinational corporations. It's a dangerous business, and wow, spectacular things happen in those dreams that could never happen in real life.The dreams need architects, and while the true architect, of course, is director Christopher Nolan, DiCaprio's architect and right-hand girl is Ellen Page, never better. Also giving sterling support are Joseph Gordon-Levitt as his right-hand man and Marion Cotillard as his dead wife, who has a nasty habit of turning up in the dreams and, believe me, she can be a bit of a nuisance.The film is a thriller. We become genuinely invested in these characters and care what happens to them, although the ending, in keeping with everything that has gone before, has a certain ambiguity. The whole is mind-blowing and, quite literally, out of this world. So, a film of enormous originality, worth every one of its five stars ten times over.

The 4k and Dolby Atmos was jaw dropping. Not sure I understood all what was going on though. Thats my fault in fairness, not the movies. Prepare to commit yourself to this film from start to finish without interruption and you will be well rewarded. A classic Nolan mind bender.

I only sat down to watch Inception for the very first time this year. It was mainly in preparation for going to see Tenet on the big screen. Well first of all I have to say that this film really does deliver with regards to epic visuals and performances. I find it quite fascinating really as I do with anything set within the world of dreaming. I think it's safe to say that Inception requires repeat viewing much like Tenet in order to understand it. I'm thrilled with my purchase and much my delight it arrived in an awesome re-release slipcase that I love.

Great video, next day delivery, it’s a top film that I have seen a while ago but at this price it’s worth another look, great Value for money

This is an amazing movie. Totally mind bending. I am not a huge fan of Leonardo DiCaprio as I find his movie choices unpalatable to my taste but he was very good. In fact all the actors were very good in their own unique ways. It works well that this movie is not filled with major Hollywood actors otherwise they would have taken the focus away from the plot and great action, mind twisting tensions that flow throughout the movie. A huge must buy along with Interstellar. Chris Nolan, a great sci-fi thinker.

The concept is interesting and if you can suspend your disbelief over the shared dreaming possibilities, it's a lot of fun to follow the permutations. There are good performances throughout and classy settings. And of course the effects are impressive even though by now ubiquitous. For me, the film is at its weakest when the action scenes become overly protracted, particularly the snowscape shoot-outs. They slow the pace unnecessarily and seem tediously generic in such an unusual narrative.

One of Nolan's best.
