To celebrate their 50th band anniversary, the Scorpions are releasing a 2CD/DVD Deluxe Edition of Love At First Sting. The high quality Digipack not only includes the newly remastered original album tracks, but also five exciting bonus tracks. The band themselves carefully selected the hitherto unreleased pieces, all recorded during the sessions for Love At First Sting. Among them is a raw and powerful version of "Coming Home" as well as a very early demo of "Still Loving You". The other three tracks are "Anytime (You Want It)", "Living At Night" and the riveting "One Sting Jam". CD 2 features the never before released recording of the band's concert at New York's legendary Madison Square Garden in New York on 6th 1984.The bonus DVD comprises of videos of "Still Loving You", "Rock You Like A Hurricane", "Big City Nights" and "I'm Leaving You" as well as of footage from several TV-appearances. An exclusive interview in which the musicians talk about the recording of Love At First Sting completes the DVD. An extensive 16 page booklet rounds the package off. It features liner notes written by Edgar Klüsener, a former editor of Germany's Metal Hammer, as well as rare photos and single covers, images of backstage passes and tour posters. The LP comes in an original replica version with both CDs in paper sleeve incl. all bonus tracks. The bonus DVD comprises of the legendary performance of the Scorpions in Dortmund's Westfalenhalle on 17 December 1983. Back then, German broadcaster ZDF aired the concert live as part of their 'Rock Pop in Concert' series. However, the footage that features the band at their very best has never been made available on tape or any other physical medium before. The DVD also includes an exclusive forty minutes interview in which the musicians talk about the recording of BLACKOUT and the events which at times threatened the entire project. Last but not least, video clips of "No One Like You" and "Arizona" complete the DVD. An extensive 16 page booklet rounds the package off. It features liner notes written by Edgar Klüsener, a former editor of Germany's Metal Hammer, as well as rare photos and single covers, images of backstage passes and tour posters. Review: Packs a STING - Classic album by one of the great rock bands who seem to be overlooked at times. I bought this mainly due to the bonus discs especially the live at MSG disc which is awesome. Much like World Wide Live but a welcome addition to collection. They certainly know how to rock! The other bonus songs of demos etc is very interesting to hear embryonic forms of songs such as Still Loving You & Coming Home. All add to the original versions. Of course the songs such as Bad Boys Running Wild, Rock You Like A Hurricane & Big City Nights are classic Scorpions...on fire! The dvd disc is welcome for some music videos & TV appearances. Remember the 80s...well must go & dig out the spandex! Review: Rocks me like a hurricane! - This album was released during the best yr of the eighties (1984 of course! ), But I didn't buy it & I didn't hear it! Instead, I had the double vinyl world wide live, what a gem. Although I play this from time to time in the car, I still prefer listening to wwl as always. Nonetheless, this was good value for money, great album. If you want the best hits collection, then go for platinum! (pardon the pun)?

Love At First Sting remastered 2015 deluxe edition
Having the unenviable task of following BLACKOUT and its 2 illustrious predecessors, this album was always going to struggle...in fact there were some lukewarm reviews and one well known critic at the time called it 'complete and utter sh*te', a bit harsh i thought. Whilst not as good,in my opinion, as the previous three,it still contained 5 bona fide classics,'Bad Boys Running Wild','Comin Home','Big City Nights'.'Rock You Like A Hurricane' and of course 'Still Loving You'. Once again excellent remastered sound, packaging and booklet, the demo's are decent and worth hearing.Interestibg that this has been released as a 3 disc package, maybe they knew it needed a little bit extra.. so we get Disc 2 Scorpions live and raw in New York, while not as polished as WORLD WIDE LIVE,its another excellent live document of aband at the top of its game and peak of their career. Disc 3 a collection of promo videos and tv performances, worth the occasional watch, scorpion promo video's dont age well, ha ha. The original album would have gotten 4 stars ,this collection is worth 5, buy and enjoy.

Sting in The Tail
What was to follow after their classic Blackout? I wonder what was on the horizon after what i would consider an all time killer rock album of the 80's. You follow it up with yet another great record, once again a record that ensured world domination & chart success was well on the way, with constant touring did The Scorpions deliver you betcha brilliant

Great purchase
Awesome. The main album is great but I particularly like the live album with an amazing performance topped by terrific and powerful vocals. The DVD has a good interview with the band but the rest of it looks very 80s naff. The promo videos are terrible.

Spedizione Amazon super veloce come sempre.

This "50th Anniversary" series is perhaps the best quality of remastering the Scorpions albums have been treated with, ever. Rich, clean sound, high output, makes them a treat to the ears. Every booklet contains a "chapter" of the Scorpions saga (beginning with Taken By Force, and concluding with Savage Amusement), dozens of photos, and lyrics. One of the extras is an all-live audio disc of a concert recorded at Madison Square Garden in New York. Personally, I feel this bonus disc would have been better suited for the Worldwide Live album, but that's just me. Take note ; each of these "50th" reissue titles come in two versions ; one version with, and one version without the bonus DVD. The bonus audio tracks are standard inclusions. So, if you see any title priced higher than another of the same title, take a closer look, the difference may be the DVD.
