Easy to plug in, though on a 2022 Ford Ranger there is no way the USB part would fit. I wish they sold this just with the splice since most dashcams take 12v anyway. I removed the USB part and hard wired the leads to a BlackVue dashcam (red and yellow from BlackVue to the positive side, black to negative). Works perfectly. The lead on the outside of the plug is positive, the center pin is negative.

Rarely do things work as advertised, this is one of those rare things. Used this to install a Garmin Mini2 in 2019 Ranger Lariat. If your Ranger is equipped with auto-dimming mirror then this is the power adapter for you. Supplies power to the dash cam when the vehicle is started. This does not keep it on when vehicle is shut off, i.e. for the parking monitor function. For that you need to hardwire to the fusebox.

I received no compensation for this review, I'm just a first time customer. This little power adapter works great, and because it was made specifically to fit my '19 Ranger it probably saved me an hour or so running power to my Wolfbox rearview mirror dash cam. It took me all of 30 seconds to plug it in and connect power using the included USB to USBC pigtail. I only had to pop-off the small plastic piece covering the auto-dim power connector just above the stock rearview mirror. The adapter and USBC pigtail fit nicely behind the cover, I didn't have to pull any trim pieces or run wires under the dash and I didn't have to fool around with fuse adapters or ziptying loose wires. After seeing the quality of this adapter and the included USB adapters, I highly recommend Dongar products.

It did what it’s supposed to do for the most part. The cable length was perfect and install was easy. The unit continued to pull power even when the truck was off. Each day I would walk out with a low battery, even bought a jumper pack. Once I removed the adapter, I no longer needed to use the battery jumper.

Does not fit 24+ NA Rangers, I assume it also doesn't fit ROW rangers of this generation. Current gen rangers are 5pin (type F), check compatibility first by looking at your connectors before buying

This made it very easy to hook up my dash cam to my mirror on my 2020 Ford Ranger XLT. Would definitely recommend as long as you want the dash cam to turn off when you turn off the vehicle.

I am from Germany and have a 2020 Ford Ranger Thunder. It was the highest trim level back then. Therefore it had the powered mirror included. The Adapter works perfect. I also could use the short USB C cable which was included to connect my Viofo A229 Pro 2-Channel Dashcam. When you need the capability of your Dashcam to monitor even when you parked, you need a hardwiring kit for your Dashcam because the mirror harness only get power when you’re ignition is turned on (with or without running the engine). Cannot judge over the longtime quality but hope it do good 👍

Just an FYI if anyone is looking to use this on a 2024 Ford Ranger it will not fit. The connector is a 5 pin connector on the 24 Ranger not a 3 pin.

Despite the description this did not fit my Ford Ranger 2024 which has 5pin plugs not 3pin as provided.

Does not fit the 2022 ford ranger. The clip is different so this doesn't work.
