Love it
Got to say I love this kettle. I bought it for Alexa control - the geek that I am. But apart from showing my fiends I can turn it on through Alexa, I've never actually used the voice control, although I can see that I would do, from upstairs, to boil the kettle when I get up - just got to remember to fill it up the night before The kettle is very solidly built, and screams quality. I like the on/off press illuminated button. Much nicer than a normal kettle. Inside it is all metal. The downside to the metal construction is there no water level indicator. It would a nice feature if the manufacturer added some form of LED bar on the outside Connection to WiFi was hassle free. Connected immediately no problem at all I found the kettle to sit there boiling for an excessive amount of time, at least 10 seconds. Wasn't happy with that. So I have adjusted it to temperature to 95 degrees. This allows it to over boil (at least 10 seconds), but switch off quicker (at 95 degrees - so it thinks) - My logic being it will over boil and I'll still get 100 degree water. In any case it makes tea fine whatever the actual temperature is (is it 95 or 100 degrees - who knows) Getting a notification on your phone every time the kettle boils is annoying. So I've turned notifications off. It would be nice to be able to choose which notifications are sent Overall I highly recommend this kettle, even if you just use it just as a kettle and not via Alexa

Simple to connect and amazing to use
Simple to connect and amazing to use. Wake up to boiling water, arrive home to a boiling kettle, tell Alexa to turn on the kettle(add the Smarter skill) - I wish I had this kettle when my two children were small, it would have saved me hours with formula milk. When you consider that a 'dumb' stylish kettle can cost almost £100, this is amazing value for money. It looks very nice in the kitchen but most of all every function is so simple to use. There is a manual switch on the kettle so when you are in the kitchen so when you are close by you can just press the button. I searched their website and there is also a bean to cup coffee machine and the Fridgecam that both look amazing. Love the tech, love the app and love showing my friends something so simple and that I used multiple times per day.

I love this kettle
I bought this to replace an Appkettle I used to have before they went bust. I like that I can use it with both Siri and Alexa. I have read some reviews stating a Alexa only understands certain phrases, this is incorrect but you do have to do some things to get Alexa to understand. Go to routines, add a new one, Enter routine name like kettle for example, than in “when this happens, you type what you say, I typed put the kettle on. Next, you than Add action, look for smart home and find your kettle, select it and select power on but IGNORE the temperature setting, it only goes up to 32 Celsius. Once you have done all that, ask Alexa to put the kettle on and it will work, you can also do a separate routine but say turn the kettle off instead and the kettle will turn off. If you have Siri though, there is even more control, you can ask how much water is in the kettle for example or ask for the kettle to be a certain temp, if I want coffee, I ask Siri to put the kettle on for coffee and set my own temp for 80 degrees and it works flawlessly. I don’t like the fact it has no water indicator but that is literally my only gripe with this Kettle, otherwise it’s very much worth it for what it does.

A great third effort, very reliable!
I'll openly admit I ordered with a great degree of scepticism. I needed a new kettle and thought I'd try a smart kettle, as I like my technology. That said, IoT devices have been a bit hit and miss in my experience. Thankfully, this kettle is a hit! Pros: - Good looking (passed the girlfriend test) and simple design - Setup was easy, kudos for the BlinkUp system (uses flashes from your smartphone to transmit Wifi details to the kettle) - Kettle boils fast and smartphone push notifications work within a second or so of it actually boiling - Decent spout filter to remove any limescale That said, it isn't perfect! The cons: - The design doesn't include a water indicator. You need to open the kettle (or open the app!) to check. - The app is a little cumbersome -- multiple clicks just to get to your kettle! - Alexa integration works, but is very limited. This is a limitation of Alexa itself but (as of January 2018) the kettle needs to mimic a thermostat. So you can set a temperature and turn it on/off -- but not check water levels or boil to a specific temperature. Mostly annoyingly, you can't use simple verbs like "boil". Not quite a natural user interface. A great third effort, very reliable if a tad over-priced (<£100 and it'd be a no-brainer).

Item shirt circuited after 1 month
Initially thought this to be a great product. I've built an automated home with smart devices and this was a nice edition initially. However, after 1 month, I boiled it one night, I poured some water from it and as I sat it back on its base station it short circuited and tripped all the power in the house. After turning the power back on at the fuse board the kettle had completely stopped working and showed no signs that it was even receiving power. I checked it thoroughly and could not find a single reason for this occurring, no water had gotten into the base connection or anything. After this I switched the fuse to see if i could fix it, but to no avail. I contacted support and as the item was no longer in stock they could not replace it.

Would definitely recommend.
This kettle is the latest edition to my smart home; it had a very interesting set-up process as you have to place your phone face down on the base so the app and kettle can talk to eachother through lots of flashes from your phone screen! There was a photosensitive-epilepsy warning but as the phone is faced down this shouldn't be an issue... It only lasts about 30 seconds until I could see it had stopped. I picked up my phone and read "Success!" I was able to link with it my Google Assistant, add it to my Google Home devices and to IFTTT. It's the nicest looking kettle I've ever seen with so many functions and an easy to use app. (You even get incredible support too, if you ever need it) Especially great for those early mornings when you don't want to get out of bed!

Great kettle?
Forget the negative reviews, this is a great kettle. Easy to setup and works first time. I don't use the extra features but they do work. As usual with some smart devices they seem to run better with the iOS app than the android on. Especially notifications, these work well on iOS but not on a Google pixel phone. Looks smart and the keep warm feature is great for when you've struggled to get out of bed.

A great addition to you smart home
This was bought to replace an Appkettle which unfortunately started to leak after 3 years. The Appkettle worked fine until the company appeared to cease trading around the beginning of the year so we have had lots of experience asking Alexa to switch the kettle on. The Ikettle works flawlessly ever time with Alexa. Haven’t tried Google yet and haven’t looked into the Siri option. To my knowledge it does work yet with HomeKit. Very easy to set up, set boiling temperature and add to routines in Alexa. You can also use a kind of geofencing option that would switch it on when you approach the house after being out for the day. Set your temperature to 95. When it’s finished heating, it rises to nearly 100 on its own so saves you that little bit of electricity every time you use it. A little on the expensive side as many of the reviews show it as a bit cheaper than the price now, and no doubt will be reduced for Black Friday but a great addition to your smart home.
