Wow - this is really great stuff! This super premium Greek extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is a dark green color with a deep, pungent smell, and you can literally see the polyphenols in it. This is the best olive oil I have ever tasted and I have ordered a few other high priced olive oils as well. I've done extensive research on EVOO. This Sparta brand wild medicinal EVOO is one of the highest phenolic content olive oils in the world, if not THE highest, and at its price point, it had better be! It comes from wild protected ancient olive trees in Greece. This means the trees are not cultivated. They are wild in their own protected natural habitat with surrounding plants and animals too. This is a limited batch production niche olive oil. You can taste the high quality immediately, as its not like any conventional olive oil you're used to. You don't cook with it as heat destroys the polyphenols much faster than natural evaporation. You take .5-1 tsp per day as a medicinal health shot. This bottle is 8.45oz so taking 1/2 tsp/day will make it last longer. This oil has been tested with all 3 industry-recognized analysis methods, NMR, HPLC, and LC-MS (the gold standard). This is the only company that does this. Most other brands that test seem to use NMR method which tends to overestimate some phenolic content measurements. Only 2 other brands I know of, from Greece and Cyprus, use LC-MS method only. I have contacted the company, Sparta of Greece, and they do not ship directly unless you are ordering more than 1000ml or 33.8 ounces. That amounts to around $900-$1000+. Its hard to find, and hard to get delivered for less that $1000 unless you see it on Amazon or other merchants and can buy a single bottle for ~$375-$400. I wish I could afford to buy this every couple of months. Expensive? YES, very! Worth it for your health? YES indeed! I'm going to miss it when my bottle is gone and will forever compare all other olive oils to it.

Considering how it tastes, I hope it adds 20 years to my life and health expectancy. You better have some strong drink in the other hand to wash it down. Even burns a little bit going down. I don't think you can put in food, ruin any dish. So I take a swig in the morning. If you're gonna spend this much money, on it, I hope you're not turning around and eating french fries and drinking Coke.

I have purchased this olive oil from several different places and Amazon is not always the cheapest. But it is the easiest! After exhausting research I cannot find an olive oil with a higher poly phenol count and one that I like very very much. I look forward to my salads!
