Do not buy. I really wish I looked at the reviews before buying this. It looks like something that would come out of a gumball machine but slightly bigger. Incredibly cheap and flimsy. It needs to be assembled. The pieces do not fit into each other. Horrible.

Assembly pictures are ok, I'm an Engineer and figured most of it out through trial and error. Parts are very lightweight, and screws will probably not last out the year. I have already retightened them twice in the first week.

The pieces are not as sturdy as they should be for an outdoor tool. The wood arrow broke soon as we took the pieces out. The yellow cups are pretty good and catch the wind. Keep the search going and make a good decision.

The product is delivered in a small baggie with almost all the parts needing to be assembled. AND.... the instructions are in Chinese. The white "legs" that hold the wind vane and the yellow cups are SO hard to assemble. They are supposed to screw into the base provided but I could never get any of them all the way to where they should be. The wind vane pieces are very easily breakable and are not very secure if installed the way they should be. They will easily come off.

Horrible design, cheap, flimsy. Missing pieces and the pieces that are here don’t fit like the picture shows. No directions in English!

A lot of things to put together

This was ordered for an elementary science class. It was smaller than expected. It did not look durable. So, I returned it.

I did not think that I would have to assemble this. I thought that it was already completely put together and ready to use. However, it does require assembly. Not only that it requires assembly, the instructions are in a foreign language. The google translate didn’t even help at all. Nevertheless, I was able to figure out how to put it together with the help of the images provided on the instruction sheet. The process wasn’t too bad. It was pretty simple once I got the basic concept. The weathervane is very lightweight. I would not consider it to be durable because it’s made from plastic that can potentially break and wood pieces that could snap if not properly cared for. It moves very easily when the wind is blowing in this direction. It works very well. However, I wouldn’t have it outside for good because it doesn’t seem like it’s made to stay outdoors. It doesn’t have anything to secure it into a surface and can be blown away if strong enough winds are present. It could be a nice project for children to put together. They can use critical thinking skills to assemble it without having the help of the foreign language instructions.
