We've been looking for steps into the lake from our dock for a while now. The steps that the dock company sells are $1750! With the coupon, these were $89! This price difference set my expectations pretty low, but for that price it was worth a shot. We are very pleasantly surprised at how good these turned out to be. We got the 4 step version as our distance fron the top of the dock to the lake bottom is 42 inches. The steps have adjustable feet and I used them, plus a couple of pavers, to level them. I had to drill 2 holes in the angle pieces at the top to secure them to our dock with the dock's rail system and they are very solid. Pros: Price is shockingly low. Good sturdy design (my 275lb cousin uses them all the time). Easy assembly (took a little longer than normal because I wanted them to work with the dock rail system). Easily adjustable with leveling feet. The set I received had ridges/tread in the extruded aluminum steps as opposed to non-skid stickers (nice surprise). Cons: Steps are not very deep. Railings are a little loose by design, but work and are safe. I would highly recommend these steps!

Given the price of these stairs, I was blown away by their quality. They are extremely sturdy, and they make it easy and safe for people to get into and out of the water from my deck, especially my grandchildren. Assembly took time and patience, but the end product was well worth it. These steps far exceeded my expectations. Just be sure to measure the depth from your deck or dock to the lake bottom to make sure you order the right size.

After reading the reviews about the hand rails being a bit wobbly, when I assembled them, I inserted a piece of aluminum sheet metal approximately 1" x 5" where each upright fits into the bracket on the steps. The custom assembled product is very sturdy. My dock has an aluminum frame, and I had no problem attaching it to my dock. (I used pins that drop in, so I can remove the steps in 10 seconds.) It might be tight screwing the top bolts into a wood dock. I am a bit concerned about what it is made of. It is PAINTED aluminum gray. I filed through the paint in one place, and it appears to be painted aluminum. I couldn't confirm that the bolts that hold everything together are stainless steel or whether they are just plated steel, in which case the will rust eventually. You don't touch any of the bolts when you are using the steps so If they do rust, they shouldn't affect the usefulness of the steps for a very long time.

Sturdy and well-designed. Fairly easy to assemble. Exactly what I wanted.

Very durable and light weight product. Using it to climb up into the military shelter on the back of my 5 ton truck during hunting season. The treads make it feel safe no matter how much mud is on hunting boots.

This was the second dock steps we ordered. The first ladder had some pieces already attached ,so it was obviously not new. Overall the steps were fine and worked for us. We needed another set, which we knew we would need but wanted to see the quality first. We ordered a used like new set of steps since the price on the new steps Had increased by $50.00. The package had at least half it the nuts and bolts etc missing. I followed directions and went to the company website and provided pictures and an explanation . They said they would respond within 24 hours. It has been longer than that and I have not heard from them. Hence the 3 stars. Update, it has been a week and we have heard nothing from the seller!! Update, Never heard back from seller after a month. Thee steps are 3-4 star. Customer service is zero stars as apparently it is non existent.

Great stairs easy to install. Had to add a piece to add to the deck. Heavy duty but light. Heavy friend used and no problem.

!st class product. Assuming that others would get the same as mine, then I can highly recommend it. Quality Aluminum that is also painted (checked with a magnet). Hardware like bolts/Nuts/Washers are all stainless steel. It is a bit more time consuming to assemble as you can't use a Socket inside, but all bolts/Nuts can be tightened using 2x13mm Ring/Open Spanners. I am over 90kg and this staircase is "Solid"
