This is the 4th DIY motor install, several other others on Amazon are reversed, they may still work but some times the wiring doesn't quite connect. This one I believe works like the OEM. I've had it 2 days in the winter and its working. Others have failed instantly, month 1, or month 3. Hoping for a change of pace with this one!

This was a good option over OEM's $700 part. I didn't give it a 5 star overall rating because it's only been installed for 1 day. I'll edit this review after it demonstrates it's longevity.

Fit defect and works great.

2016 Denali running board would require “help” to move up. Thought I’d be cheap and try and replace just the motor with this aftermarket part. It was very difficult to separate the motor from hinge, in hindsight I would recommend buying a motor hinge combo. Ultimately I was able to replace the motor with this new unit, however it did not fix the problem. The step would start to retract, then give up and go back down. The front hinge was maybe a little stiff, but could still be moved by hand when the motor was removed. In frustration I ordered both the front motor/hinge assembly and a rear hinge ($800) from GM to get to the bottom of the issue. I checked ground connections and dielectric greased the plugs to rule out electrical resistance while waiting for the factory parts to arrive. I suspected the rear hinge may be the culprit so I replaced it next. The new hinge was very free compared to the old one so it seemed this would be the answer. Lo and behold, with a new rear hinge the same issue remained - step would not go up without help. Next I proceeded to install the new front Gm factory Motor/hinge combo unit. After this was completed the power step now works flawlessly! It seems this aftermarket unit on Amazon is substandard, defective, or both.

Great product and works like original. I did have to remove the shaft to put it in the proper position but that doesn't add much to the project. Overall very satisfied.

Motor is great and is a direct replacement. Shaft will need to be removed and adjusted 30* to match oem adding about an other 10 minutes to the job

I actually was stupid enough to buy 2. Both failed within 2-3 weeks. Will never buy again. Had to go back and buy the OEM (used) which is working fine.

Not bad as a temporary alternative, It dose work, but you must install it through the dealership for reprogramming. However, unfortunately, if you have a light on the accelerator pedal like GMC Yukon AT4, it might not work, therefore i will give it 4 star's to the compared to the unbelievable original price
