Powerful, Sub-Compact Duo!
I've been working on my front porch that involves a lot of overhead and ladder work using 2005 era cordless drill that weighed approximately 5 lbs. and an impact driver weighing in at over 3 lbs. The first time I used my new subcompacts, I knew I made to right purchasing decision. They are very lightweight compared to the old combination and using an aftermarket belt clip, I hardly notice it's there anymore. The drill is equally enjoyable to use. While I haven't used it as much as the impact driver, when I have used it performed well. The only potential negative I've come across is that on multiple occasions, while drilling, the chuck has opened even though it was tightened prior to use. I also love that the batteries are cross voltage compatible, from 18-36 VDC. The battery life is very good to excellent. I was able to effortlessly drive multiple 5/16 lag screws into pressure treated posts as well as several dozen #8 x 3 1/3" structural screws and still have 4 bars on the battery's fuel gauge. While there’s so much to love about this combination, there’s three issues that I’m not fond of. The first is the battery charger. I don’t know how long it would’ve taken to charge the two batteries using it, but I would estimate much longer than it took my 36 VDC, multi-volt charger that came with my Metabo HPT rotary hammer drill did. The included charger, after 30 minutes, did not increase charge beyond the one bar on the fuel gauge that the batteries came from the factory with but, after using the 36 VDC charger, they were both ready to go within 30 minutes or so. The second issue is the location and looseness of the forward/reverse switch. I've found on both this drill/driver combination and my Metabo HPT 36 Volt rotary hammer drill that the switch is easily moved to either the middle position or to the reverse or forward position with the slightest touch, especially while wearing gloves. My older Craftsman impact drivers' switch took more pressure to change its position. The third issue is that they come with a thin, small, zippered bag to carry them around in. I would have been more than willing to spend a few more dollars for a blow molded case that kept everything in its proper place. Lastly, while there is a spot on the handle for a belt clip that’s included with their other drills and impact drivers, there’s not one included on this model. I was able to find them on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXT22BHT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details), and have installed them, although I removed one from the impact driver as it kept falling off when I squatted down. While I've only had the drill/driver for a little over two weeks, I'm only able to review their performance for that time however, being the owner of 4 other Hitachi/Metabo HPT corded and cordless tools I have no reason to doubt that they won't keep delivering for years to come. Based on my experiences over the five years I’ve been using their tools I would have absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for quality, reliable tools that, at least with this combination, come with a limited, lifetime warranty that won’t deflate your wallet like the red, yellow fellas’ will.

I reach for these guys first
I have torn rotator cuffs so light tools are kinder to my shoulders. I have a DeWalt set which are larger and heavier than these guys. I use the dewalts for the jobs where I need to be more pushy with the tools, but I think that is just because they are bigger and heavier than this set. I love that these guys are so lightweight. They have great power and performance. I need to take out probably a thousand screws from the inside sheet metal school bus ceiling to spray foam the roof, and I will 100% go for these to demolish that ceiling. All of that overhead screwing is going to go better with a lighter, more compact tool. I didn't think I would use two sets of a drill and driver but I do use both sets. I like using this set more than the DeWalt, but mostly because I have poor upper body strength from the shoulder injuries. I have to be mindful of my body mechanics. But I'd rather use these smaller tools for a long time period than the bigger heavier ones. The batteries have very fast and last a really long time, too. 100% recommend. I like this set a lot.

Awesome drill driver set
Of all the purchases I made from AMZ this must be one of the most satisfying. This new compact Metabo 18 V drill & driver set is compact, light weight and powerful. I also have the old 18V and 12V Hitachi sets which I have owned for 20 years and they are still working. I love my 12V set because it is so compact. The drill is pretty weak but the 12V impact driver got plenty of power for my woodworking need. The nice thing about the new Metabo sub compact 18V set is that it's almost as small as the 12V but has more power than my old Hitachi 18V set. Another thing I find out is that the battery and charger of the new Metabo set work interchangeably with my old Hitachi battery and charger. Don't know yet if I should use them that way, but they fit and work. I also own Makita and Dewalt tools, for the price, reliability and ergonomic Metabo is hard to beat.

Very Compact and light, and appear well made
It's nice to another set of set drill/ driver for the house as I have one for work, and having gone through Dewalt, Milwaukee, and Makita and I have to say it's right up there with my preferred Makita (Milwaukee cordless was the biggest disappointment). They seemed to incorporated as many of the desirable features without overloading them (yes, too many features can be problematic as is too few). The batteries that come with this set don't have charging gauges but batteries are where the money is at and I can appreciate why they come with 'entry level' 1.5AH. Should be sufficient for the occasional around the house projects but I have checked out some aftermarket compatible batteries and for ~$50 can get a 4AH battery (bigger, but heavier, but longer run time). Battery release is easy to use, too, which I really like after discovering what a PITA the Milwaukee batteries are.

Whoa these are really small, light and powerful!
Modern technology at its finest. I bought these to replace some old HItachi (which is now Metabo) and the technology has progressed as such that the tools are getting lighter and smaller, but still have adequate power. I tried these recently on a window project and they are easy to get into tighter spaces because of their smaller profile. They are new and haven't stood the test of time (yet), but I trust the brand. They are so much lighter too and will thus cause much less fatigue. Keep in mind that the drill has about 480 ft lbs of torque. If you'd like the beefier drill metabo makes...they do have a heavier drill which puts out over 600 ft. lbs of torque. The trade-off, however to the more powerful drill is that it's heavier and larger. I will be upgrading my entire line of power hand tools to the Metabo line.

Los ocupo para trabajo en casa y son excelentes, solo considerar que no tiene la función de roto martillo, por el precio es una excelente herramienta.

I like that they came in their own case so I can store the charger all the time and tools when not in use. They are inexpensive for what you get. I had been a bosch tool person but thought I would give these a try and am glad I did.

Bought this set to replace my previous drill when it died. Really happy with my purchase. The build quality is solid. It feels really nice in the hand. And the impact driver had more than enough power to drive the concrete fastener I needed it to. Given how happy I am with what I've seen so far I would not hesitate to buy more Metabo tools in the future.

Excelente producto, peso, tamaño y calidad, excelente diseño, por experiencia de uso de la marca no te decepcionaran, conparado con la marca verde y roja, este producto los supera por mucho y por la mitad del precio.
