The U-lock system I was using before was wonderful first time out... with my new mountain bike (which I haven't ridden a bicycle in 30 years, nor needed a bike lock). I love cycling and I was even more impressed by the improvements of bicycle locks. However, within the first week I started running into space issues...or better put, limitations on how I can secure the bike with all of the releasable and detachable parts. The extra wide width and angular shape to the U-lock really opens up more consistent fastening when locking the bike up. The shape and the added room even allows for my bicycle helmet to be secured along with the bike (helmet has a special location where you can secure the helmet in a bike lock). Overall this U-lock system's strengths are quality material (improving security and protecting the paint finish of your bike)...price very competitive from more recognized brands...carries a weight and durability that is reassuring (for the owner) and discouraging to all other people from tampering with it.

Great lock and cable combination. I use it on my e-bike and it works great. Highly recommend.

Exactly what was pictured and very durable!

The metal tube is exactly what I expected, a thick metal covered in rubber to avoid scratching my e-scooter, I'm not very sure about the body, I feel it simple and light and one of the sides has a plastic cover instead of being entirely metal, it comes covered in rubber except for the plastic side, which is good that it has rubber there but I have doubts about what was mentioned above, that's why I take away a star, otherwise I'm going to keep it. Regarding the cable, like all cables of this type, they are rubbish. They are not intended to secure your vehicle in the main, they are just a small addition to make theft a little more inconvenient. But it is appreciated that it is included even though I do not know if this increases the price, because if so I would prefer not to include it or better include a disc brake.

Heavy and thick lock. I'm the type of person to not just use 1 lock anyway and I mix them up at the same time between u locks and chains. This particular u lock gives the impression of quality and someone will absolutely have to work hard and have the appropriate tools to get through this. You won't just bare hand rip this lock off or use a basic hammer. A huge bolt cutter with leverage or a power saw that will both draw attention to you will be needed if I had to guess. I use this to lock the frame of the bike at hip height and then use chains to lock the wheels for added security .

Great purchase for our e-bikes! Strong and durable. We actually purchased 2 but the cable is long enough that most times we only need to use one to lock both bikes together! These locks are heavy duty, I would highly recommend!
